In middle school, my father once walked me to school (literally inside the classroom) and picked me up dressing up as a clown for a whole week. I was crying in anger on the first day. He said if I keep what I'm doing, he'll walk me for another week.

This was after he found out (I dunno how) I was cutting some classes and being a total b**** to a couple classmates. I had early social skills and was already an extrovert, popular girl that made friends very easily. I would take advantage of that by isolating those level below me (I made a girl cried once; ironically we would later on become good friends) with my group of friends. It felt like a power trip at that moment.

Honestly, I admit a prolonged lecture wasn't going to do it. I was probably going to say ''ok, dad'' and then go back to doing the same thing. Afterwards, I pretty much focused on school and learned to use those skills in a different way; motivating others and sometimes stepping in if someone was getting picked on.

So Halloween is around the corner and I've got my 4 year old niece wanting to dress up as Hello Kitty and a 14 year old and 16 year old cousin (sisters, whom I feel are borderline... or perhaps too old?) telling me they are dressing up as the Grady twins from "The Shining" with a group of other friends to go trick-or-treating. Heck, I also know of a few friends in college and uni who are still on campus who'll be dressing up in ridiculous outfits to get candy before going to house parties 🤦‍♀️

I personally stopped trick or treating once I hit middle school and I gave out candy and dressed up at my house/a friend's instead or was always invited to a house party that turned into a sleepover were my friends and I would binge watch in watching various scary movies. It's just odd to be walking the streets with little ones that are dressed as crayons, bumble bees, princesses... then seeing "sexy-fied" versions of those costumes on pre-teens 😕

So how old is too old for trick-or-treating? Are there rules to it? What are your thoughts on 6 feet tall dressed up bananas or Snow Whites who need to wear a bra? 🤔

Dustin is 17 years old. He's a foster child who was abused as a kid. He's a high school dropout with a a GED. One day he really wanted money so he decided to cross dress and wear makeup. Since he was so great with makeup, and dressing up he was able to look like a beautiful woman. He went on a dating site. When he got a date he lied about his gender, life and conned his way into making 600 dollars a week. He lied so much he was able to fool a guy into giving him 2 thousand dollars. Dustin is also a internet hacker who stole thousands of dollars and lied, and broke into bank accounts. He laughs and threatened to stab his 76 foster dad in the neck.

john is 24 years old. He's in college and in debt. He really wants money so he starts to sell drugs like crack, acid, and selling dangerous, illegal pills to adults and teenagers. He was offered to kill a pregnant woman but rejected the offer. But he did rob, beat and broke into an elderly couples house. His friend shot the woman dead, and John lied for his friend and made sure his friend wasn't arrested. He bought illegal guns, gave them to criminals who eventually went on a drive by shooting killing a 4 year old boy.
