As a guy now trying to recover from anorexia and facing extreme hunger and shame as well as stigma from all over the place I find it that I have no place to go for support because if you're a male and talk about having an eating disorder (especially if you're straight like me) people will laugh in your face, I've spent this whole week living like this https://youtu.be/HlH5j-ylE4E but the only support seems to be that voice in my head and some other videos I've found on the topic but almost all of them are by women for women or at least use gender specific pronouns such as "she" or "her" which is very damaging to my masculinity because it makes me feel like I'm the only male in the world who suffers from this and on top of it nobody every comments on how hard it is to achieve that perfect "magic Mike" body that girls want, we always here about how men want a very thin partner like Ariana Grande or one with a literally unnatural body like Kim K but we never hear about how men are expected to be Ryan Reynolds or Mark Walberg, and tbh I don't find either of those two girls/women attractive at all but that's besides the point.

Be honest, because I know that now that I'm recovering from an eating disorder I'm gonna become much less attractive and I've been fat before (hopefully I never get nearly that bad again but with the way I eat I'm scared) my mom always says "personality matters a lot" but my close female friends always talk about dudes bodies whether it be guys with their abs and such or guys who "have such a great personality but need to lose some weight" or "have potential if they fixed their acne" or "are so sweet but so ugly" and I myself have a hard time approaching girls as it is but once I become ugly it'll be even harder and I'm afraid of being alone forever because although I've messed around some now while I was attractive now that I'm recovering and ugly I'll never have that again and probably never find love in the future
