my aunty gave me and my siblings very expensive gifts for Christmas, easily into the thousands. my brother and i were very surprised, grateful, shocked etc. we said thank you and hugged her. however when my sister got hers, i knew she did not like it, i know her better than anyone and i knew it wasn't anything she would want. she still said thank you, gave our aunty a hug. which i thought was a very good response. however later on she said to our aunty that our younger cousin should have it. her reason being that she felt bad that he didn't get as much as her. our cousin is 10 by the way.
i told her, when we got home, u shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, it comes off as rude or disrespectful or u dont care or want it. i told her that if it were me i would have lied and said it was amazing and kept my mouth shut about passing the gift along, because its the thought that counts anyway. she went off and said i should feel sorry for my little cousin, but i know for a fact that if she had got a gift she liked she would not have given it away. my poor aunty felt so bad and paced and whispered to me that she thought my sister didn't like her gift, and said she would get her another one. and i had to reassure her that my sister liked it, even though she doesn't. she sounded so sad and dissappointed in herself.
am i wrong in thinking that its rude to throw a gift back in someones face, no matter what ur intentions are and no matter what the gift is?

Okay. So I'm not exactly a big social media person - but I do understand it is a bit of a social convention nowadays, a lot of couples posting pics together, etc. I have social media mostly to market my music, and I am finding that my own boyfriend does not follow my pages or support them on any platform (Facebook, instagram, etc.). He claims that he "doesnt really use those apps" but I always see him scrolling through when we are together. I've also caught him "loving" other girls pictures just not mine. Also looking at inappropriate pics of women on those sites. but again, doesn't show support for me.
Also, recently I had a musical performance and expressed that I wanted him to come. He said he had to stay late at work, and then texted me he's going home. So he didn't seem to really care or want to come to my show which was upsetting. I told him how I felt and he responded with a shallow "Sorry" followed by "whatever" "you're overreacting" and that it was "selfish of me". I dont feel like I was overreacting nor that it was selfish of me to expect my boyfriend to be more supportive of things that matter to me. So what you guys think?
