One girl, I've developed strong feelings for, but she 99.99% probably sees me only as a good friend. One on one, we can talk throughout the entire day, go from goofing off to serious talk. But in groups, at bars, she clearly prefers another guy (attention wise anyway), and has hooked up with him at parties. Leaving me alone on the couch. I know, poor me lol. Even though she only sees me as a friend... I feel like a grow from talking with her, it's one of those things where just talking has helped me understand stuff, even though it's only happening between friends. I really do care for her, and I would like to ask her out on a date. Except for her hooking up with another guy at parties.

The second girl, who I've met very recently, is 100% into me, is open to be taken out, and is certainly nice enough to talk to, just as anyone else. But, I feel like residual feelings I have for the first girl still carry over.

Truth is, I like the first girl because... she makes me feel like I'm growing as person. I know it sounds silly, but it's true. The second girl, is perfectly nice, and I do want to take her out, but what if she's just a nice girl, and I don't end up feelings as strongly for her as the first girl (who so far as I know, doesn't view me in a romantic sense)?

I'm at a crossroads because I haven't taken the second girl out yet (though she's very open to it, and I wouldn't say no.) It's just I don't want to do wrong by either of them.

If you have any other advice, please share. I'm very confused and worried about this.
