or race and ethnicity in general?

As some of who is an American of Mexican heritage and racially Castizo or a very light-skinned Mestizo, I honestly get sick and tired of hearing about race all the time, especially here in the United States, where we should call ourselves American first before anything else (race or ethnicity or religion or anything different at all). I never cared for nationalist groups like MEChA, Brown Berets, Black Lives Matter or White Nationalists or any nationalist of any race and/or ethnicity. They all have one major thing in common and that is just to race-bait and try to make themselves feel more validated and "accomplished" by loudly stating their race and ethnicity to feel proud for whatever stupid reason.

I also hate umbrella terms like "Latino/Hispanic" because it lumps all Latin Americans with different cultures (along with Spaniards from Spain), into the same group altogether as if we're all the same exact thing. I honestly have very little to nothing in common with other Latin American groups such as Argentineans because Argentinean culture is far much more Italian or European-influenced than Indigenous or Mestizo influenced (which is what the Mexican culture and racial demographics mostly is, Mestizo). The only similarities all Latin Americans have between each other is the language we speak, us being predominantly Roman Catholic and our history of racial miscegenation. That's where the similarities between us end.

As much as I disliked the way the past happened (Spanish Conquistadors and their treatment of Indigenous and Black African people), holding a grudge against White Spaniards or the entire White European race in general in the modern-day over something they have no control over, is pointless too. I honestly doubt most of the Spaniards in Spain today are even blood-related to the Spanish Conquistadors that invaded Latin America anyway.

See where I am going with my point on "race" and ethnicity?

While race does have some biological truth with all of us having different phenotypes and skin color, it's been concluded by more modern, advanced anthropologists and scientists that separating groups of humans by "race" isn't a completely accurate way of differentiating between humans. Historically there's only been 3 races, which are Caucasoid, Mong0l0id and N3gr0id.

The reason why race is also a social construct because the amount of ignorance, stupidity and egoism from human beings living in the US and many European countries. For instance, many people from the US and a lot of European countries think, Jews, Muslims, Arabs (or both a Arab and Muslim), and Latinos are all "separate races" when nearly all of them fall under being "White/Caucasoid", except for Muslims and Jews since they're religious creeds, NOT races (Although Latinos can be of any race but are usually a mixture of all 3 races). In fact, Sicilians at one point weren't considered true whites back then in the US due to their tan skin and Catholic religious faith, not falling under being WASPs. Hell, Sicilians were even treated horribly back then in their own home country by Northern Italians due to Northern Italians having a more "whiter" look.

That's the way I see race also being a social construct. In the end, there will always be hatred and discrimination everywhere, regardless if you're of a different "race", different ethnicity, different religious faith or different anything.
