Comsat Angels were a post-punk band active during da 80s mostly. They didn’t have any particular/well-known hit but yet they r known and they were considered influential.

Now about fav album…didn’t have any I liked more or less …. there were good songs here and there…. but I’d go wid Fiction coz I like it’s album cover mostly LOL

Gang Of Four and The Chameleons were post-punk bands wid some pretty good songs out there, but The Chameleons were better imo…my fav here would be Strange Times probably.

But.. Flying Pickets were one of da grossest 80s bands I’ve ever heard…their “covers” were…ughhhhh

Sure 1 of my top 10 bands ever. Squeeze have been involved wid many music styles…they started as punk-rock in their early recordings, then they become new-wave, then more synth-poppish and by da end of 80s they turned alt. rock mostly.

They’ve got a streak of awesome albums, but I’ll go wid Argybargy. Their masterpiece by far

The Motors were another late 70s-early 80s new-wave band, mostly known for their song “Airport”. They released 1 album in da early 80s, which was very good.

JTQ were a jazz-funk band pretty similar wid Level 42, but they lacked “sth” Level 42 had…can’t x-plain wot it is…but they didn’t have this thing. Didn’t like much any of their albums tbh.

Dislocation Dance were an indie-pop band dat had a minor hit during 80s wid their song Rosemary. Their album “Midnight Shift” were one of da good indie-pop albums of this era, like “Pacific Street” from Pale Fountains and “Trapped & Unwrapped” by Friends Again :D

Generation X were a late 70s/early 80s punk band…eh they were just ok…. nothing so special bout em in my opinion :|

After their break-up Billy Idol followed a successful solo-career releasing many hits. Rebel Yell would b my fav album from him. Also his 1993 album Cyberpunk’s pretty good mostly coz of da fact they used 2 give away some MAC floppy disc in some editions back then.

Also bassist Tony James formed Sigue Sigue Sputnik, a new-wave cyberpunk themed band. Their album Flaunt It was really awesome. They really predicted da future wid ads between each song, u could say ^_^

Although The Smiths were very popular didn’t like any of their albums much tbh. Generally I was always considered them, an overrated band. Although “How Soon Is Now?”’s an awesome song. After their break-up Morrissey followed a solo-career and Johnny Marr formed Electronic with New Order’s singer Bernard Sumner in da 90s. A really good side-project!

All About Eve were another alternative rock band from dat era where they had some success during da l8 80s, and scorin a UK top 10 hit wid “Martha’s Harbour”. Their album “Scarlet and Other Stories” had a few good other songs.

Matt Johnson who released a solo-album during da early-80s was da man behind The The. A really good band wid pretty unique and complex songs. I like their albums “Soul Mining” and “Infected” mostly (listening 2 da latter this morning XD

It Bites on da other hand were a progressive-rock/hard-rock band. Didn’t like any of their albums much tbh…but they had pretty good songs here n there. Their most known song would be “Calling All The Heroes”

Modern Romance were an 80s salsa/latin-pop band most famous for songs like “Everybody Salsa” or “Ay Ay Ay Ay Moosey”. A really good danceable band!

Pigbag were a similar-soundin band. Their songs were instrumentals mostly though. They had a hit wid “Papa’s Got A Brand New Pigbag”. Both their albums had pretty catchy instrumentals.

Tight Fit were a pop group of da same era. They were famous for their 60s covers, wid da song “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” (originally from The Tokens) being their biggest hit.

Latin Quarter were an 80s left-wing pop-rock group, mostly known 4 their single “Radio Africa”. Apart from this they had many other nice songs. They were kinda more successful in Germany though, havin more hits beyond “Radio Africa”, both their albums “Modern Times” and “Mark and Caroline” were gr8.

Easterhouse was another pop-rock group wid similar-themed lyrics. Their most known hit was “Nineteen Sixty Nine”. Beyond dat this band is pretty unknown. But their album “Contenders” was pretty good.

Dream Academy were a dream-pop/new-wave band of dat era as well. “Life In A Northern Town” was a big-hit back then. “Love Parade” was also a minor-hit. But their debut self-titled album was gr8 generally…especially “New Light” song. :D
