I'm not having any issues currently but keep seeing a lot of "should I break up" type questions here. What was it that finally made you call it quits? I listed the few I could think of.

I've been dating a man who I love with all of me since high school, and we've had a very strong and happy 5 years together so far. We both have said we already know we are who each other wants to end up with in life and we plan on marriage. There are a few issues, like every relationship has, but nothing we don't ever work out and carry forward. However, this one is pretty big, I think. And he doesn't know about it. I've kept it bottled up to myself in fear that he'll read it the wrong way and there goes our amazing 5 years together and the many future years to come. The issue is, I wonder if I settled too quick. I love him. And I know he is the man I'm going to grow old with. But I can't help but feel like I got serious too fast. I've heard that you should never get serious with anyone during your college years because you meet so many people. And I have. I never want a relationship with those who I've met, but I'm still attracted to them. To the point it doesn't feel right. I shouldn't be feeling so attracted to other men. I get these cravings to just go out and have fun with other men. Not necessarily hook up, but just experience fun times with other men. I want to tell my boyfriend how I feel, but I know he would immediately take it as a break up, I'm done, and never coming back. That's not it at all. I know he's my forever... I just think I found my forever when I wasn't ready to. I feel like I should have let myself venture before I got serious and committed myself 100% to him. Because now, I'm stuck with this immature feeling and I can't understand why I can't just shake it off and ignore my desires and focus on my love for my boyfriend. So what do I do? Should I explain to the man who I've spent the last 5 wonderful years together that I think I settled too young? And him definitely take it the wrong way? What if this goes on and we end up marrying and I'm still feeling these desires to experience? What should I do?

I’m sick of my boyfriend acting like he doesn’t know what to do or how to be in a relationship! I’m 30, he’s 40, and I have always dated older guys because I prefer an extremely traditional relationship. I function better and am a better person when I’m the follower in this male female relationship. Aka I do NOT want to be the dominant one!!! At all.
Plus I like relying on the knowledge and older person provides in a relationship. I like to be the cleaning/cooking type, and want him to be the typical strong man/take out the trash only type. But he never takes the initiative to start anything as far as giving me a kiss, holding my hand, etc. I got home the other day after a 10 hour day, and we did an awkward “dance” just trying to walk through a hallway when he was deciding whether to kiss me or not. I finally just hopped up and kissed him (a peck as usual, the only kinds of kisses we ever have) just to end the awkwardness. We’ve lived together for 3 years! And we’re friends/dating for 5 years before that, it’s not like we don’t know each other and it’s not a “new” relationship. Why is this still so awkward? We also are only intimate about once every month on average because it’s just so uncomfortable and awkward. The rare times he tries to initiate sex it’s always at the wrong time or extremely awkward and uncomfortable feeling so we only do it when I initiate it, which as a woman isn’t too often! I’ve been married before, and been in “live together” relationships before and have never had this issue with anyone I’ve dated. My previous relationships consisted of kissing/sex/ect. many times a week but usually more. Shouldn’t he just kiss me when he wants to and not have to think it over? why is he so awkward and uncomfortable in life in general? And how do I get him to “step up as a man” without saying those mean words? We’re headed towards marriage and I feel like I should break up with him because I just can’t live like this!!! :-(. Fml...
