Search Results: are kids a turnoff

Whenever I met new people, they like me a lot and I tend to get excited and think I'll have a good friend. These expectations seem very unrealistic as most of the time they either fall into stereotypes which is an automatic "friendship turnoff" or I just get bored of them. For this reason, I bounce around the nerds, the cool kids, the band geeks, the delinquents, and the loners (who hate most people but also like me somehow) but even so I feel out of place. I like any person who fits outside of societies boxes. I used to have a circle which included a delinquent, an otaku, a jock, and a princess basically we were the irl breakfast club of our millennial generation (Yes BC because we loved 80s movies too). I loved how we were close, there was little drama, and we all could be ourselves until we parted ways. Now I absolutely HATE how everybody falls into these boxes and become photocopies of eachother. When I look for friendship I look for something mature, long-lasting, and without conformist labels. Are my expectations really that unrealistic?
