I'm having doubts about my current views (I don't want to say whether it's my political or religious views). I was raised believing most of them. However, I haven't completely adopted the new one I've been exposed to. I'm just doubting my old ones. I used to slightly despise those who held these views I've been warming up to lately, but now I feel like they're starting to make more logical sense to me than my previously held views. I haven't made a final decision and I don't know if it will happen soon. It's only been a few months but I feel like it might take years.
This creates a dating dilemma. If I get into a relationship with a woman who holds the views I'm considering adopting and one day I realize that the views I was raised believing are more correct or if I get into a relationship with a woman who holds the views I was raised believing and one day realize that the the new views I've been opening up to are more correct, that could sabotage the relationship. I'd like to have a girlfriend, but I don't want to disrespect anyone or hurt anyone's feelings.
Have you ever been in my situation? Whether or not you have, please help me out here and tell me what you think is the healthiest and most ethical decision to make.
Should I avoid relationships until I figure out where I stand (which might take a while) or should I start seeing someone and see what happens?

I'm writing a paper on business ethics on regards to employee/ employer relationships and ethical dilemmas. I have a great dilemma I want to touch on (Skhreli's 5000% increase of the medicine duraprim) but am struggling with drawing a relationship to the employee. I thought I might be able to argue that physicians and pharm companies slightly resemble a employee/ employer relationship. What do y'all think?

I'm working on a book, and the climax boils down to an ethical dilemma that I suspect will polarize readers.

Without giving too much away:

An alien race has unwillingly found itself in a position where they can either ensure that a natural cataclysm which will utterly devastate life on Earth occurs on schedule, or they *will* go extinct as a species. You are human.

Outcome A) If the cataclysm occurs, they will rescue as many humans from Earth as they can, post-Cataclysm, along with as many cultural artifacts and plant species as possible. Unfortunately, this will total only a few thousand humans - enough to survive as a species, but not as a people. Within a few generations, we will either culturally integrate with them (with the help of gene mods to let us breath their atmosphere), being human-in-form-only, or, some fear, we will be reduced to a client race. In this outcome, regardless of what our society becomes, both our species and their world will survive, benefitting from their technology and spreading out together as they begin colonizing other worlds. You will be one of the survivors in this outcome, but you will be permanently separated from your family, who were left behind on post-cataclysm Earth.

Outcome B) The alternative is that Earth is spared the cataclysm at the cost of the total extinction of the alien race. No survivors. Thousands of years of art, literature, architectural wonders, culture, technology - none of it will be recoverable by us. Their entire civilization will be wiped out. You will die in this outcome in the process of saving your world, but humanity will never know it even happened.

Outcome C) You refuse to make this decision for two whole species, instead returning to post-cataclysm Earth to search for your family and face the end with them. It is very unlikely the human survivors left behind on Earth will persist as a species, but not certain.

Here are the different ones and an explanation for each

Lawful Good: known as the "Saintly" or "Crusader" alignment. Obeys authority and acts with honor. typically acts with compassion, and always with honor and a sense of duty.

may sometimes find themselves faced with the dilemma of whether to obey law or good when the two conflict—for example, upholding a sworn oath when it would lead innocents to come to harm—or conflicts between two orders, such as between their religious law and the law of the local ruler.

Neutral Good: known as the "Benefactor" alignment. Does what's right, no preference for law or chaos. guided by his/her conscience and typically acts altruistically, without regard for or against Lawful precepts such as rules or tradition. has no problems with co-operating with lawful officials, but does not feel beholden to them. In the event that doing the right thing requires the bending or breaking of rules, they do not suffer the same inner conflict that a Lawful Good person would.

Chaotic Good: known as the "Beatific," "Rebel," or "Cynic" alignment. Favors the greater good, dislikes authority. A Chaotic Good person favors change for a greater good, disdains bureaucratic organizations that get in the way of social improvement, and places a high value on personal freedom, not only for oneself, but for others as well. They always intend to do the right thing, but their methods are generally disorganized and often out of alignment with the rest of society. They may create conflict in a team if they feel they are being pushed around, and often view extensive organization and planning as pointless, preferring to improvise.

Lawful Neutral: the "Judge" or "Disciplined" alignment Strong code of order, no preference for good/evil. typically believes strongly in Lawful concepts such as honor, order, rules and tradition, and often follows a personal code. They typically have a strong ethical code, but it is primarily guided by their system of belief, not by a commitment to good or evil.

Neutral: also referred to as True Neutral or Neutral Neutral, is called the "Undecided" or "Nature's" alignment. tends not to feel strongly towards any alignment. may lack the capacity for moral judgment. guided by instinct rather than conscious decision. May also be committed to a balance between the alignments. hey may see good, evil, law and chaos as simply prejudices and dangerous extremes.
