This time last year I was involved with a guy that had deep feelings for me. He would say he wants to get married, begged me to have his children, planned our gap year, eventually he moved onto telling me he loves me, continuously. I wasn't ready to open up because of previous heartbreak so I pushed him away hard yet gave him mixed signals. Eventually he concluded I had no feelings for him. This was from March-end of July. November came and I was depressed yet couldn't stop thinking about how much I love him and want a future with him, so I apologised a lot but still didn't know how to tell him how I felt, we spoke on the phone and he expressed that he tried really hard and I just threw it back in his face. December, I decided to improve myself because of the mental breakdown I was experiencing. January came and I accepted I loved him but moved on and got with someone else, yet I couldn't stop thinking about him. February came, he got into contact with me and we met up, he didn't treat me any differently, asked what I thought of him, I told him he needs to improve himself because he feels like he is going crazy. After a few days , I found out that he has a gf now. Which hurt me because a few months ago he said he wasn't ready for a relationship with me, and now he is in one. So, yesterday we met up and he told me he is only seeing this girl (not actual gf) and if I feel anything for him it would confuse him because what happened between us and he can't just leave her because it wouldn't be fair on her. I stated I felt as though he was avoiding me and he said no, just trying to better himself, cope with home (really fucked up situation) and that he has A LOT going on. He tried to get me to confess how I feel because it would make him content, I refused and told him I had no feelings. Later I reflected and thought if it would make him content then I will do it, so I messaged him and still no reply. Do we just keep catching each other at wrong times or is he over me?

I didn't mistake it for flirting but i was the only guy she talks to regurarly as others were not her type and dont know how to approach a girl honestly, so with time im like i like this girl and she may not be the most beautiful but i get attracted to the personality, we share some laughs and jokes then she began staring at me more and at the beginning she asked for my number which was weird, i also didn't mistake it as if she's interested in me. So for the first couple of months i helped her in everyway and i was a complete gentleman opening the door for her and carrying her heavy laptop for her, one day she's like you smell good and kept giving me compliments. She knew i liked her but there are days she gives me the notion that she wants her space and i never did invade it i was just being there for her so i kind of pulled away, I've had my own share of heartaches so i was cautious going ahead, in other words i played it safe from day 1 but i sometimes i think that maybe im too kind or too there for her, sometimes she ignores messgaes which are completely work related or just asking about her, and other days she is the complete opposite, we talk a lot and one day she said she has a friend who is moving over to our town and he as with her at college. I kinda knew that maybe she was in a relationship but sometimes she shows me that she's not in one. One day i asked her for coffee before her leaving for new years, and she said she was busy and i figured that she wasn't, anyways i was cold with her and she kinda got it and asked me if there's something wrong with me and she was worried, that day she's like yeah that guy i told u about has a problem in shipping his car he's asking me nicely and i wish u can help, we had a relationship in college and im telling u cause ur like my brother?
