I've had a crush on this guy for awhile. He's a quiet, introverted guy. A lot like myself. He's sort of shy, but more so introverted. When I first talked to him, I went up to him and just said hi and we told each other our names and stuff. He was smiling and friendly, but he said one thing that confused me. First he asked if we had German together. I said yes, we did (this wasn't the confusing part). Then he asked if we has math together. I said "um, maybe?" Even though I knew we didn't. I just brushed this off. I thought we had some sort of connection. But it's occurred to me recently that he had mistaken me for someone else. This other girl who's in our German class. It's been 2 months since that conversation, and he actually realized who I was shortly afterwards. He looks at me a lot and tries to get close to me. He'll stand near me or facing me. Even my friend has noticed him staring at me. I want to keep trying to talk to him, but I feel embarrassed that he thought I was someone else. The other girl is really great (like I wouldn't blame him if he liked her. she's so nice and friendly, towards both me and him), but she has a boyfriend, and I don't want to feel like he would only consider liking me because he couldn't get her. He didn't even notice me before I had approached him. But he also probably wouldn't have noticed the other girl, if she wasn't as friendly as she is. She talks to everyone. They also have a lot of mutual friends (side note: both me and her are the same age, and he's a year younger than us).

I'd let this go and just forget about it if he didn't act this interested in me. Am I being ridiculous? Should I keep going after him, or would I just be embarrassing myself?

So I really like this guy, and he found out I liked him at the start of the year in around Febraury and so did basically all his other school friends. He used to speak to me quite a bit till my friends and I annoyed him too much and then we stopped talking. Like a month after, he started talking to me again but now, we don't talk anymore. I messaged him a while ago and he told me not to message him AND also asked me why I was messaging him. One of his best mates texted me a message off my crushes facebook saying "Hey x" and my crush told me it wasn't him and then the day after, that same friend of his told me that it was him who sent the message and that my crush doesn't really want to talk to me and if I keep on messaging him, it's gonna make him hate me. Then one of my guy friends who's are friends with my crush told me he talks a lot of shit about me (which I don't know is true) BUT my crush stares at me A LOT and if everyone knew my crush really DOESN'T like me, they wouldn't be teasing him and I like they do now. Especially cause they tease me IN FRONT of him? So are they hiding something from me? He doesn't talk to me that much unless he's with a friend, but like I said before, he stares at me a lot like when I'm kicking soccer balls with my friends. Lately he's started being around and talking to more girls in his class so is he trying to make me jealous? Also, when I approach him and his friends, he'll go silent all of a sudden. Is that cause he's shy or scared of his friends teasing him for liking me? I'm younger than him, so that might be why he's hiding the fact that he likes me. What should I do? Confront him?
