My single status is really taking a toll on me. I cannot find a guy regardless of my years with free and paid online dating apps. I don’t have friends and this is how I hope to meet decent people. It doesn’t work but I hear people that say it has worked for them.

Im very shy and people say things like they can tell I’m shy/lack confidence/am not approachable. Which is why people that I don’t find attractive avoid approaching me? Or maybe they just don’t like me? I see women that come across the same as I do and they get noticed... I feel people just say these cliche things to make people feel better about themselves.

I am 24 and don’t have a very high opinion of my appearance. I’ve lost weight and would be considered on the average/thick side now. However, compared to women I have encountered that seem to have men flock to them, this has never been my experience. In fact, I feel like I’m ignored by guys lol. I only get attention while doing a chore by a guy I typically wouldn’t pursue or someone that seems outright weird. Mostly when I use dating apps, whether paid or free, have not been effective at all. I’m reserved and don’t have any friends, hence why I use dating apps. I’ve given up on using apps and seeming approachable by any means because I’ve had no luck 😬
