We're both 18 in HS

Too long of a backstory to explain, but both my best friend and I both became single recently and I realized I liked her and she told me she'd think about it but wants to be single for now (again this is all 1000% her telling the truth, thats the backstory i dont feel like explaining)

Anyway onto my problem:
Some drama happened between me and her, where I heard she was lying to me for a month straight about "thinking about dating" and i called her out on it and said some NASTY stuff. i just didn't care. My best friend I trusted with everything suddenly lying to me? Yeah I was furious. I found out later though in the end she never was lying to me and actually was thinking about it.. but me being impulsive i said nasty stuff and REALLY hurt her

Couple days after that argument she told me straight to my face she doesn't want anything. i apologized as much i could and asked for one last chance, but nothing happened. HOWEVER over a couple weeks after that, i began to explain my thought process of being mad at her and i apologized more and admitted i was wrong, and she's begun to listen to me.

One thing I texted her, which was recent, was
Me: "You said you care a lot about me but im just asking for one small favor considering I've done so much for you as a friend over the past couple years. why can't you just give me one last chance?"
Her: Because i'm a petty b*tch. Dont get me wrong, I forgive you but i dont forget stuff

Week after that I texted her "Hey i hope you're thinking about things because you're really the only girl for me" and she replied "You know i dont like talking about relationships"

She never answered my question on one last chance or not though and im not sure what to do? Should i eventually confront her on whether she'll give me one last chance or what do i do?

Okay so here's a brief time line of events in chronological order. We're both 18

-Told my best friend i liked her and she said she'll think about it. we did have a long talk, and yes she IS thinking
-Some serious drama occured between me and her. Basically I trusted her friends word on something over hers, found out later my best friend was never lying. Unfortunately while i was mad at her i called her a liar and other hurtful stuff
-She then told me a couple days later over text when i brought up dating "you used up all your chances".
-Then a week later we hung out and got drunk (I was buzzed, she was drunk). i asked again to make sure she was serious and she said "we'll always be friends but we're not dating". and i kinda tried to reason with her and apologize more and she just yelled at me "We're not fucking dating" and i walked off and didn't speak to her for 3 days.
- On the first day of her new job i broke the silence by wishing her well on the first day (to show i remember and care and stuff) and she tried to keep a conversation going but i wasn't feeling it because of what happened.
-I eventually texted her a couple days later "Ive done so much for you before i even started liking you (and i listed a lot of stuff) and i just want one favor back, just one last final chance and ill NEVER bring up dating again" and she never responded. I let 2 weeks go by then I asked again and she finally answered "Because i'm a petty b*tch. Dont get me wrong, i forgive you but i dont forget" but that didn't answer my question about a last chance or not?
-At a concert this girl she used to like (she's bi), who f*cked her over, texted her. she randomly told me "Dont worry i didn't respond". im not sure if she's doing that because "Oh i might date him" or "I dont want him feeling hurt i mighta talked to someone i like"

As you can tell she's still hurt and holding onto stuff i said, i dont blame her. but based on the last two points, am i gonna have a possible chance or not?

I see this everywhere it seems like.
Like someone who you're with do you care about their past?

Relationship wise

I do.
Because you may think im wrong but i dont believe people change
Like someone who lies and cheats always will
If they're not getting what they want theyll lie and cheat again.

When they come back to you they're probably lying on the person they cheated on you with.

And i need to know about the past
How many people they were with etc

Because if they were with a lot of people before you theyll probably be with a lot after you.

I need to know if they've ever cheated
If they lie and say know then its just proving they didn't change

So no i can't just ignore the past ill tell my past truthfully and i expect the same

And people who say the past doesn't matter
Are usually the ones with the worst past
