So, I have several interviews for jobs coming up and I unfortunately had to buy bus fare... I don't get paid until Friday so i am flat broke and this will probably be the first time I ever go out literally broke.. Unfortunately my parents are out of town. I try not to ask people for anything and I feel a bit wrong or selfish when I ask people who aren't my actual parents for money. Every time I go out, I normally buy breadsticks for long trips but there is food at the house and I only plan on being gone for a few hours.. I saw how easy it was for me to just ask people for s dollar and if a sound convincing enough they give it to me. I was going to just try to ask people for money ( 3 dollars) so I could buy some. There are places close to me that give free water.. I know that people generally look down on panhandlers but hopefully when I get my job I won't ask strangers for money again... I just really want breadsticks

It sounds a lot like myself when I was 18, I wasn't allowed to go anywhere, I couldn't date, and my parents also controlled everything I wore, what I did to my hair, I had a debit card but it was fully under my moms control so what I could buy was also controlled by my parents. Then I got a job, bought my own clothes and got my own debit card. That's when all the restrictions finally came off. The girl on the forum is 20, but don't parents normally stop being controlling once you've shown them you became an adult? :/
