There is this one guy that I have known for a little over a year. We participate in the same sport and used to be on the same team. Just a few months ago he moved and now plays for a different team but because we compete nationally, we still se eachother a lot at competitions. We used to talk regularly when we were on the same team and a couple of my friends told me that he liked me. Over the summer I hadn't seen him at all but then when the next season started he would text or snapchat me every once in a while. He would ask me wether or not I was going to a certain competition or how my little brother was doing. When this first happened it semmed like he might have been flirting a little bit. He started most of our conversations. One example is when I was telling him how much I had improved and how he would be impressed. He replied with "I like being impressed" We saw eachother at competitions and talked when we could. We are both shy so our conversations consist of general things (and sometimes awkward silence.) Eventually we started talking every day through snapchat and had a pretty big streak. I felt him losing interst in me so I suggested we meet up at our little brothers next competition. We did meet up and as the day went on, our conversations became even more forced and awkward. At one point he even talked about another girl. That night when he snapchatted me back, I opened it but didn't reply. He didn't snapchatted me again for a while. At our most recent competition, I didn't talk to him but then he tried to talk to me again, telling me small things like. "Good luck" and asking "are you ready?" so I replied and we have started back up our snapchat streak and small chats again. I feel like he used to stare at me more and be more interested in me at the beginning of the season. We stopped talking in the middle but now its starting up again. I know that he is shy, and that he is on an adhd medication. I just have no idea what he thinks of me. What do you think

We chat all day, everyday!! From the moment he wakes up and texts me "Good Morning x" to the moment he falls asleep he will text me about all kinds of things. Even if the conversation seems to have dried up, rather than ending it he will just add something else to start a whole new conversation. I never expect him to text me when he is working but he always does, even just to see what I am up to or to send a cheeky face emoji. We met online a while ago and have spoken ever since, I think there has only been one day where I didn't hear from him at all in over 9 months of conversing.

The problem is I have developed feelings for his personality and it makes me feel silly as we've never met (we have spoken, text, email, etc). Sometimes I feel like he has no interest in me but other times he tells me how nice I am and flirts with me. What I want to know is if many other guys do stuff like this if they do not have any interest in the girl? I know I wouldn't text/talk to anyone so much if I didn't like them at least a little. He has suggested meeting a couple of times but it hasn't surfaced yet (he lives over 200 miles away and neither of us drive).

So, years ago we dated for a really short time. Recently, we got in touch again and were flirting back and forth.

Just 2 weeks ago, I ran into him when he was at his work (supermarket). He chatted away and joked with me quite happily. I then left his work and headed up home. And I ended up texting him.

After his work, he decided to walk up past my house and text me saying he was outside. Sure enough? He was outside. So I went out to say hi.

Then, we chatted again, he let me hear a new song he'd written, and decided to hug me before I went back inside. He stretched his arms wide and then wrapped them right around my waist... our bodies were touching fully and I even let him feel my butt as we hugged. It was pretty intense.

However, when we got home, we ended up arguing over something that had happened in the past and I got confused over our hug. So he said it was better to just be friends. I told him he shouldn't have hugged me and he apologised.

However, the same thing almost happened again a few nights ago. I had an interview for a new job coming up and I ended up running into him again. This time, I was with my sister.

Before I left to go home, he wished me all the very best. I had a bunch of groceries in my right hand, so he stretched out one arm for a hug. And I returned a one arm hug. This time, our genitals didn't touch or anything, but he stroked my back heavily as he hugged me. It still felt strangely intimate.

My younger sister even commented on the hug saying 'it was like he was giving you a back massage there!'

So yeah, I'm confused because his words and actions are not matching up. Any opinions?
