I have been really close friends with this guy for a long time ( 10 years). If we have been busy, we both tend to draw back to each other after not talking for a while automatically. Since couple of years though, our conversation seems to become upsetting and we argue and stop talking to each other. Recently, we have resumed talking again. The convo is more long distant since he moved abroad for work. He first mentionned that he is just trying to change field and got the opportunity in another country. Mentionned he will be back in few months. I was saddened a bit and stated it to him. He assured me that it was just for 6months. He actually persuaded me to keep talking to him because he misses me. Later, he actually started to withdaw from messenging. So I didn't wrote him back. He then got upset that I stopped writting and I explained that there was no point if he wouldn't answer. Now that the days are coming closer to his arrival date, he said that he might not come back. He plans to find a girlfriend get married and stabilize which he wasn't able to do Here. I told him I had a feeling he would say this. He got upset when I later said he is stringing me along even though he has other plans. He then accused me of wanting to stop talking to him now. I told him to stop whinning and if he wants to talk he can still write to me. Couple of days later he sends me a message and a video. I was busy so I check it out the next day wrote him back we laughed. I then wrote him some more that day but no reply from him. I assumed he must have fallen asleep. I noticed he never replied after 2 days and wonder what was up. wrote to him jokingly " So you disappeared?" and made a crying face emoji (all jokingly). No answer. By the next day, I noticed he blocked me.

I wasn't that surprised with his passive-aggressive behaviour but it still got to me. Personnally, I'm done with him for life.
Did any of you went through something similar... how did you handle the aftermath of it?

Had this 2nd date arranged with this guy since last week. I text him today asking were we still on and he said he doesn't think he can make it because he promised his family he go to a event and he said he totally forgot about it. He said sorry and said he felt awful. I said it was ok but secretly I was upset. He asked could we reschedule, I asked him would he like to come see a movie soon there's one out that I really wanted to see.

He then text back saying this week he is really busy and he has to go see family on the Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. But he said he would definitely want to see it.

I just said it I'd it cool let me know. He text back again saying I do want to go I promise.

At this stage I was feeling pretty shit and upset so I said it was cool that I was heading to sleep and told him goodnight.

he texted back asking if I was alright. I just said I was fine and I was tired. (Obviously I wasn't but I didn't want to talk anymore with him cause I felt upset)

He replied Ok if you say so with a sad face.

A part of me is upset with him cause I was looking forward to seeing him then the other bit of me feels guilty because I know I'm being passive aggressive with him. We got along so well that I just felt he was putting it off seeing me. Would you be pissed or how would you react?
