Search Results: getting shy people together

I've lurked around here and it looks like mixed advice when it comes to this. Some say to wait till he comes to me because it's in a guy's instincts to be doing the 'hunting'. Others say that they would love for a girl to just come right out and tell them.

So, here's my situation. I haven't known this guy for very long. It's been a few months. We work together, so we see each other fairly often, if not practically everyday. For the past month or so I've been dropping hints to him that I'm interested in him and so far he's responded well to them. He's kind of shy, but I can tell he's getting more and more comfortable around me. We've played the 'game' for a month or more and it feels natural for one of us to say it, but I'm not sure if it's maybe too soon. If we should keep up with the "Does she/he like me?" charade.

Here's some of the signals I put out or get back. Everytime I come in he flashes a brilliant smile at me and says "hi". If he's not busy he'll come over or motion me over to chat. Practically every chance we get we're talking to each other. When we do we look each other in the eyes. We've asked for each other's cell numbers, except we don't really txt each other. We've hanged out outside of work once. I was the one who did the asking. So, I'm still a bit confused. Some people tell me he's just nervous, but if I tell him I like him will that cause him to be more nervous? Any advice or feedback would be appreciated. :)
