Note: I’m going to keep my opinion on this subject to myself for the purpose of this question.

With the corona virus being the main topic in the media, there is also talk of the use of a new type of “microchip implant embedded with a vaccine” to combat the spread of the corona virus. The rumored implant aside from having a vaccine is also meant to identify who’s been vaccinated and who has not. Furthermore, Bill Gates recently went on Reddit to address the use of such technology but didn’t specifically mention anything about any microchips being implanted in people causing people to wonder if the “digital certificate” is even an implant or merely an upgraded biometric scanner of some sorts.

As expected there’s much vagueness and contradictory information about such technology. Questions such as

• whether or not it’s on the brink of being widely available?
• Is it still years away?
• Will it be enforced?
• whether or not it’s actually going to be an implant?

are all questions that haven’t been thoroughly answered. Hence there’s also a lot of debating going on from people being very supportive of the concept, to people criticizing it for being Orwellian and or associating it with the biblical “mark of the beast”. What do you think about the proposed “digital certificate”?

I just heard about a story from a man in his 60s. His daughter got pregnant, and she told her boyfriend. The boyfriend then spoke to the man and told him that he plans to propose and do the right thing.

One day the boyfriend turns up to the man's house with the daughter. He doesn't say a word. He brings her suitcase to the door and drives off, leaving her. Through tears she explains that she cheated on him while he was away and that the baby isn't his. He only found out because one of her friends told him so, otherwise she was going to continue to let him think that the baby was his.

Upon hearing this her Dad said nothing, but he was disgusted. Her mother comforted her. The man then said that he was shocked to hear what the mother, his wife, had to say about the situation.

The mother said to the daughter that she'll find someone better, and that the man clearly wasn't man enough to stay with her. She basically defended her daughter's actions and painted the now ex-boyfriend, the guy she cheated on and tried to trick into raising the other man's kid, the asshole.

I've heard similar stories. I think that most men will be disgusted by this, but women? It seems that some are disgusted, just like the girl's friend was. While others defend the woman and attack the man. Some maybe just keep quiet and let her do whatever she's gonna do.

Who's the asshole here?
