I'm going to give two brief personal examples.

Once buying a house. My sibling/parents saw this property 2 times & put a bid on it. I saw it once and even before stepping inside it's like omfg why did we put money on it. The home inspection proved I was right... it was a dump. Looked nice. Shambles of a property.

Two guys are quick off the bat flirts. Like within days of meeting me. Different places mind you. One tries some lines and I'm like yeah right. The other tries some lines and I'm like huh maybe. The first one his own brother calls him a player. The second one seems a decent guy all around.

My child's school opted for virtual learning for the first 9 weeks of school, and now the teacher will be teaching the curriculum online. Apparently, the online won't be what it was in the spring because the school bought an online program for kids to interact with and teachers still have to have classes at least 3 days with the kids via Zoom and the other days will use only the program.

But I still feel like I'm doing the teaching. I remember in spring my kid was asking my questions about math and writing that I couldn't help her with, and the teacher wasn't available when we needed her. Plus we only have one computer that I need for work, and the district said they don't have the funds to give laptops to every child as the state cut the education budget. So only high school and middle school kids are getting laptops and elementary kids are not.

I can't afford another computer and now I'm teaching from home and may have to cut back on my hours at work. I think there should be a stipend given to parents who have to work and teach and provide the technology. The district made the decision against what the parents wanted and we even presented them with a petition of over 1,000 signatures and some parents protested outside the board meeting, yet they still went virtual.

I'm really frustrated that school is not opening. They found the money for teacher raises but not to give all students a computer. That's crazy. Unions get on my nerves. They should nix the teacher pay and their raises and give it to parents to accommodate students.
