Do you get mad when someone pranks you? Why or why not?

Personally. I hate getting pranked. I got so mad when someone pranks me. There has been times where I punch people are start fights after getting prank. I don't do pranks, and I'll explain why.

It was around Halloween when I was a junior year of high school. My math teacher had a pretty scarecrow mannequin. Me and my class were talking a small quiz, and the teacher told us she had to step out and she will be back in five minutes. While she was gone, the mannequin jump out and it scared all of us and we ran out of the class room. While I was with a group, we were freaking out, the mannequin grabbed me and restrain me for about 10, until the math teacher came back and started laughing and told us it was a prank and the scarecrow was another math teacher that I didn't know or had her class. Everyone was revealed and laughing since it was a prank. But I was so scared at pissed, that I stop showing up to her class for a month. My math teacher called my parents to set up a meeting due to my failing grade. At the meeting my teacher asked me why have I stop going to her class, I explained to her that it was the prank she pulled on our class. She had a look on her face like I was being vert salty about her prank. I then told her that the scarecrow grabbed and restrain me. She then told me that she didn't know that was me and apologized to me and my mother, and the teacher in the costume showed up to my meeting and we explained to her about my autism and how I don't like being touched like. (My high school was very good when it came to stuff like that.) The teacher apologized and explained that she was unaware and feels extremely bad about it. We then talked about how they will let me know if they decide to pull another prank on her class, and she gave me a alternative assignment to make up for my failing grade.

So do you get mad after someone pranks you as well? Or am I just a salty person?

The only time I have really gotten upset is when I was at work in college at my retail job and my co-workers had secretly tied my shoelaces together while I was readying inventory for the floor. When I turned to go help my co-worker who had purposefully called me over, I came down really hard and hurt myself and because of all the sharp security tags and metal racks I was around, I could have been injured far worse than I was. I mean how are you supposed to find something funny when you actually get hurt and people are laughing around you. They apologized when they realized I was really hurt, but I was really pissed. I'm all for pranks---we used to do some really really elaborate good ones at the job I had after that, but they were never to the point where someone got hurt, we never damaged anyone's personal property, and we never took it to the point where you were "joking" about like someone's family member being in an accident. If everyone can't laugh in the end or you know it would hurt your feelings if they did it to you, it's just not funny or cool to do.

Going to be real with u my dude, if u are starting fights and hitting people because they prank u, that is extreme response to a situation that doesn't justify it. u can go to jail for assault.

Tbh it sounds like u might have anger management issues, one bad experience shouldn't make u so angry. If everyone held on to how they feel in their worst experiences the world would be crazy, the point is to be resilient and move on. Just because one situation went badly doesn't mean it should affect everything. U got to learn to chill out before u hurt someone.

Well, I have autism and don't like being touched, especially when someone does it without me noticing or without asking me to touch me. I get embarrassed real easy, and when I do, I shut down and keep to myself. When I got into the hold by the other teacher, she was unaware about my autism and other problems I had. (I didn't have any of her classes.) I only get angry when I get put on the spot and get embarrassed.

I think the majority of people now adays take pranks way to far to the extremes! It really needs to be toned down dramatically! I have seen most are either physically dangerous even deadly! And mentally people are already stressed in their lives this could easily tip them. Maybe they explode and go on a shooting at work or school or they width draw and commit suicide! Are these far reaching examples? I wish they were but they happen every single day! The worst leadership in this area is Jimmy Kimble and his urging parents to prank their your children to a extreme! WTMFH!!! Wake up people have some fucking compassion! In stead of pranking someone give someone a big hug! I guarantee you both will feel so much better than any prank!

I agree. I see some very dangerous pranks that have been done on YouTube. I surprised a YouTuber who pull pranks hasn't got beaten up or shot.

I don't get mad, I see the humour in pranks.

Although autistic people do not do well with surprise and confusion so I understand your anger when that happens.

Also, restraining a child is assault. That shouldn't have happened.

But whatever however much your anger makes sense, you really can't go around getting into fights with people.

I tease but I don't prank. Pranks abuse trust and I have enough issues there. So I don't need to inflict it on others. Plus it almost always escalates.

Depends on what the prank is. Like one time, one of my friends was talking to this group of girls at the pool, and I snuck up behind him and pulled down his swim trunks right in front of them so they’d all see his penis. They all said his dick was little and he got super mad at me because he was embarrassed. So yeah, like a prank like that I can see why people would get mad but if there’s no real harm done by it I don’t think anyone should get mad

And ahahaha yes I would go back and do it a hundred times if I could. My only regret is that I didn’t tell one of them to record it

I dislike pranks, and that "it's a prank bro" bullshit should get your shit slapped just for saying it.

Pranks are not comedy, it's being mean to someone innocent, while in front of an audience, using another human being as a prop piece for your shenanigans.

I'm sorry you had to go through that negative experience. As long as the prank doesn't have the intention to physically hurt or harm someone, I'm all for them. I've had hilarious pranks done on me and pranks I've done on others.

It depends on the prank- did anyone get hurt? Was any property damaged, will it take hours to clean up? I'll probably be mad if the answer is yes to any of those. If not, it's all fun and games.

I was embarrassed when I got attacked. The teacher was unaware with my autism and how I would react. I didn't have any of her classes. I also didn't go back to her class for a month. I wouldn't gone back at all if we didn't have a meeting.
