Ugly women with hot men? OR Ugly men with hot women? Or neither.

Which one do you see or know of the most compared to the others? Sex workers don't count so hopefully that narrows it down.

Personally, I see way more ugly chicks with great looking stud muffins here in college, but not in large numbers. I have yet to see one woman with a less-than-blessed man here.

It seems to me that in Western culture, there is a nearly subconscious understanding that men are intellectually superior, and not to sound sexist, but it seems to generally hold true. I'm talking on a societal level here, not on an individual basis.

Point in case: I can find many, many guys who I can talk to about deep subjects. Philosophy, religion, politics - meaningful life topics in general. On the other hand, it's extremely rare that I find girls like this. It seems most of them [at least where I live] are primarily interested in partying, buying clothes/shoes/etc, and painting a favorable image of themselves on social media.

A disproportionately large number of girls to guys seem very superficial as well as intellectually shallow. When do I find a highly intelligent and/or introspective girl, they're almost never any sort of pretty. When I find both it's like a diamond in the rough; I feel like I have just won the lottery!

It also seems like somewhat of a double standard that men need be particularly successful/talented/skilled in something. They need to have a driving passion and concrete life goal, while the same rarely seems to apply to women.

An easy example I can find here...

You take a moderately skilled male guitarist and put him on YouTube - he'll get ten thousand views and a lot of "nice playing brah" type comments.

You take a moderately skilled female guitarist and put her on YouTube - she'll get ten MILLION views and half the commenters will claim they've fallen in love.

What gives?

It's a little bit disappointing to me that in this day and age, where we have claimed to come so far with gender equality, that women seem to still be lauded almost entirely for being a sex object, and their intellectual standard is seen as significantly lower than their male counterparts. It seems that women are the only ones that can get by in life with nothing but sex appeal.

Does anyone sympathize with me here? I sincerely would like to see smarter females on Earth. It would be nice to have female intellectuals and female politicians for a change... but our Facebook culture doesn't seem to be taking us in that direction any time soon.

And for the love of God, I need someone I can date who isn't another dumb pretty party girl.

So to sum up:

In our society, do you think that males, as a standard, are more intellectually driven than females?

Simple question. Is there anything in marriage for guys that they can't get and have better in a long-term dating relationship, or live in girlfriend, the like? To me, it seems so much smarter to not sign any legal documents.

Divorce? Happens a ton, and women initiate the majority of divorces, despite cheating just as much or being abusive just as likely. If there's no legal document, just part ways. No splitting up everything, no risk of your retirement fund getting cut in half, with her getting the half.

Kids? Well, divorce insanely favors women anyway. Married or not, she'll still get full custody, the guy gets to see them every other weekend or the like...

Sex? Go talk to some married guys while I laugh at the thought of someone bringing it up.

Threats--I've seen divorce threatened over the most idiotic stuff, and my mom believes and claims she is a devout Christian. (They're only supposed to divorce over cheating.)

So is there really ANYTHING in marriage for guys, compared to LTR, or live in girlfriend? Anything worth the quite large risk of financial devastation that goes with divorce?

--Sure, sugar daddy 'dating' tends to involve a larger age difference than you usually see in casual dating.

--True, sugaring explicitly for sex, or sometimes companionship, rather than romance.

--True, on sugary 'dates',cash changes hands, rather than the guy just picking up the tabs.

But isn't traditional dating by implication also about sex for money?

Here's how they are alike:

--The guys usually pays. While no cash changes hands, women often have more disposable income because guys are paying for a lot of their dining out and entertainment. I know women who budget this way when they have a bf.

-- Often the guy is older, though usually not by as much as we see in the sugar scene

---Often neither party has any emotional commitment or interest; it's just sex and/or companionship, just like sugaring

As I see it, sugar scenes differ only in that the date is usually much longer, several days or weeks rather than a few hours, and involve a longer itinerary, often with long distance traveling..

Especially these days, dates, like sugar relationships, rarely are any great romantic occasion.
