I might get off track but oh well. I hate when I walk into a store in general , a store in the mall and especially a shoe store and the sorry ass employees say something smart or don't ask if they can help at all. As if I can't afford anything ( I look 12). I just hate employees, the ones who think someone owes them something. When they have attitudes and take out their bad day on customers it honestly pisses me off. I got to fast food places and the stupid workers get the orders wrong because their too because making jokes and talking about their personal lives with their coworkers. Just as fast as they got that job is how fast it can be taken away. It makes me want to make them lose their jobs and just ruin their lives. This one teenager at an ice cream shop in my city started to make the wrong ice cream when my mom clearly told him what she wanted. When she realized it she told him it again. He just started to make it and it threw that away and before he started to make a new one he turned around to this bitch he was working with and said something smart, then she said something and they were laughing. I wanted to knock his and her teeth out of their mouths. Owners who have free time and don't work or anything really need to watch their employees and teach them to value a job and act like it. Otherwise it could be offered to the homeless and people who really need the job that would appreciate it.

I have an opportunity to get in at a juvenile correctional hall as an employee.

With 2 more years of school I'd have the opportunity to potentially become a criminal analyst.

My ideal dream career would be the criminal analyst. However, I don't have the money for two more years of school just laying around.

I feel like working with juveniles would be really fulfilling for me and I'd feel like I was actually making a difference and accomplishing things.

Being a criminal analyst would offer a wide range of career opportunities. I could work with a police agency, businesses, fraud agencies... I could even self employ myself and contract myself out to anyone who needed my services.

The juvenile correctional facility would be very easy to get into with my background of education and I feel like I would be enriched by it and enjoy it very much.

The only issue is that we're talking about a MAJOR pay cut between the two. The average salary for a juvenile correctional officer is around $35,000 a year whereas the ENTRY salary for a criminal analyst is $75,000 with average being $95,000.

Once I was in the juvenile corrections employment system it would be relatively easy to transfer me all over the country but the pay wouldn't really increase. It'd also be relatively simple to transfer into the adult correctional facility where pay would increase slightly to around $45,000.

I'm stuck trying to decide whether or not to go with the emotionally fulfilling job with the low pay or go for the Dream Job with the higher pay.

I could also, I suppose, take a year or two off school and work in corrections to earn enough to return, but then I'm afraid of whether or not I'd feel like or be able to return when the funds were enough.

I have to live on my own after graduation. My boyfriend will be living with me while he finishes his schooling. So I have to afford enough to support us for the next few years (long program).
