guys: if you call a girl princess.. are you doing that generally to flirt.. be friendly? Something else?
I have a friend that I’ve known for almost 10 years.. things have largely stayed friendly over the years.. we were intimate for a few months back in 2016 before he moved away (I’m still in Northern California.. he moved to southern).. the other day when I sent him a picture of something.. he sent “good morning princess” back.. I went with it with a chuckle.. figuring he might be joking.. when I mentioned that if I’m princess.. that would make you my loyal adviser. He said lol.. thought you were gonna say I’m you’re king. I laughed and said something off the cuff.. and he mentioned that he was serious when he said princess.
just wondering if referring to a girl as princess like that.. trying to be flirty? Friendly? Maybe a little both? Opinions always helpful and appreciated..

I have been talking to this guy on and off for a couple years and long story short I never felt the same way as him, (we never ended up meeting we tried once but he stood me up recently) he said he really liked me and I played with his feelings, kept calling me psycho and how shitty my behaviour was etc. He told me that he really liked me and things he liked about me. when I sometimes would ghost or delete him off social media from time to time ( due to hardly talking to each other) he felt like shit. He stood me up because he thought I was going to play with his feelings. He did tell me he was seeing these other two girls that were going really well and im not sure if he is just saying that or not.

There’s a backstory to this question.

My younger cousin who is a senior had a bit of drama today involving her on-and-off boyfriend (?), Nathan. Both are 18. They broke up at least 4 times over petty things and dated people in between their breaks. Anyway, Nathan dated this girl who was a sophomore (Patty) and they broke up for whatever reason so he went back to my cousin while Patty dated someone else. However, he would still flirt and being intimate with Patty and my cousin found out when Patty “confronted” her after she logged onto his messenger and read the conversation he had with my cousin. She was furious and broke down to her friends in tears. One of them in particular kind told her they told her so and informed her that the Patty was crying as she found out her boyfriend had cancer and my cousin said she didn’t give a fuck, which lead to her friends calling her fucked up for saying that and left it at, “I don’t care.”

She told me this at home and said she kind of felt wrong for saying she didn’t care about someone having cancer but at the same time said she thinks the girl is lying for attention (which she allegedly famous for), didn’t know him and had no connection to him so she didn’t understand why she SHOULD have to care. I didn’t know what to say. Obviously, she said it out of anger and frustration but do you think it’s wrong to not care about someone else’s misfortune or at least not be sympathetic towards it in general.
