OK well I was seeing this guy, kinda open relationship, or friends with benefits but we did more than just sex. Well my dumb ass ended up telling him I loved him.. Which I do, it hurts to think about how I can't have him. He has always been kinda distant because he was hurt by his only wife of 6 years, she cheated, now he don't trust anyone it seems. Well I have never got him to tell me he loved me back, he was always just good to me, kissed me on my hand and tells me he appreciates me, and my shoulder, just an all around great guy.. Well the only thing is he seems reserved! and after loving him this whole past year I'm trying to move on because I really don't think I could go through that much pain, I'm trying to bring it down to a friends level... so I don't get hurt.. so I basically get back with my ex husband and trying to fix my marriage with him, all the sudden I tell the other guy and now he is like saying stuff to me like "be careful dear" "If I wasn't working sweetie I would love to be spending my time with you" or If I tell him somewhere I am at he always says "I wish our schedules weren't opposite, I really miss you" ummm you guys! this dude has never been like this, so since he knows I love him to death is he messing with me because he knows I love him? is this just a head game? I have never known him to play head games.. he is a very serious person, but always the funnest to be around. I love him and we have everything in common but how come at the point I'm telling him I love him he had nothing to say, and now that my attention is for my husband he is saying all this stuff to me? is it just a tease? does he maybe love me and trying to express it before its too late? I'm really lost, he seems so different, I like it, but how come he wasn't this way before? by the way don't point fingers, my husband used to drink heavily and we had a lot of domestics and I figured one more chance for him... basically trying to make myself love my husband again, this other guy has really got me bad!

I was talking about this with friends about it and some people get frustrated by racial preferences, may feel its racist, or may feel left out. I have friends all over the rainbow so I hear different perspectives on this. Personally, I do consider it racist somewhat, though certainly not always, but then I think most people in this country are racist on a less conscious level. Their conscious opinions and preferences are only manifestations of that racism whether they realize it or not. It's like a part of the world we live in unfortunately. Or fortunately depending on how you feel about it. lol I don't take it personally though, yknow, it is what it is.

I don't see the purpose in getting bothered about it. I'm not even being stereotypical here, but one of my Asian friends feels like Asian guys are at the bottom of the totem pole. He doesn't prefer Asian women though but he likes other women. He feels like there are so many stereotypes working against him and he feels like every move he makes in life is trying to disprove them. Also, standards for masculinity and attractiveness don't equal to the way most Asian guys look so that bothers him. He rants about this a lot actually and when I tried to tell him you shouldn't get upset over this and just accept that people generally prefer what you arent, he said I just can't understand. I had to stop him there because I am a black girl. Of course I understand. Black women are at the bottom of the beauty totem pole. I am the first one to just accept that standards of beauty that men have accepted globally are things many black women can't measure up to. I understand a guy not wanting to date me because I'm black. It's fine. I don't get pissed about it and so I tell him he should just shut up. I would bet money that there is a general consensus that black women and Asian men are the least attractive and least desirable. It's just something that is and you can't change how people feel. You should just be happy with your own life instead of worrying about what most people may think. It isn't hard to find some loving. lol The ugliest people of the most attractive groups find love or sex, so it's not difficult for the more attractive of the least attractive groups (like us :P) to find it as well. I generally have no problem with guys even though I am part of a group seen as unattractive. I'm just happy with my life idk.

Anyway how do you feel about this ladies and gents - racial preferences are they good or bad in dating? do you have any race that you tend to be less/more sexually attracted to? Do other peoples preferences ever annoy you? Be honest no censors up in this bitch. lol
