Search Results: finding out about girls ask guys

I know might be a very repetitive question but I want to find some truth in this discussion.
Before I start this, I want to mention that I am ready a professional guitarist who goes to play live gigs occasionally so I am not asking this to attract my crush by playing Ed Sheeran.

Although many say that girls are not very attracted to guitarists and playing guitar doesn't help you get girls, I found some women approaching after my gigs to compliment my skills and some end up asking for my number and if we could hangout.
Due to this conflicting findings, I wanted to ask the girls and also guys if they have had any luck.

I've been using Tinder for quite some time now, not that it has ever worked for me. I did get a few matches, but not a single one of them has ever answered my first messages.

After telling a couple female friends about that, they answered with "You do know that nobody takes Tinder seriously, right?". I asked what they meant and, according to them, not a single brazilian girl takes Tinder seriously, so I came here trying to find out if they're right.

Do you think that it's true? Do you think that they're mistaken? Is this a thing wherever it is that you guys/girls live.

PS: By "taking it seriously" I mean "Actually using it with the intention of finding a relationship other than friendship / Using it for more than a simple ego boost."
