Search Results: how long to wait after a break up

My guy and I were doing good. We just became long distance due to finances, but we were doing good. After a week of being distant, he tells me he wants a 3 month break. He said he needs to get back on track and support his daughter, and we both need to be doing better financially. I agree with him, but I thought that' what we were doing, just long distance. He said he still loves me and wants out paths to be the same, but that he doesn't have time for a relationship and we need to work on ourselves. It feels like lines, but it makes sense. I told him I didn't plan on sleeping with anybody else and will take this break seriously, and hope to pick us back up. But to not lead me on and let me know if this is a break up, not a break, and if he finds somebody else because I won't wait if he doesn't. He didn't say anything to that. After agreeing to be friends and take a break, he has been texting first. I playfully asked if I have to pay to go to one of his concerts and he said of course not. So is this really a Break? Or a pause before a break up and he's thinking he is softening the blow?
