Disclaimer for people who like to state the obvious: Of coruse, this description does not miraculously fit every single white person in America. -_- It doesn't make logical, rational, intelligent sense for every single trillions of white people who have ever lived and died in America to all be culturally insensitive.

With all this talk about the Confederate flag and the way many ignorant, inconsiderate white people respond to racial incidences, it would appear that those ignorant, self-absorbed, unempathetic white people who have always been the majority in America are finally beind held for cultural insensitivity. Various ethnic groups, not just African Americans, have experienced cultural insensitvity from white people and been reminded that they are different with a negative conotation especially Native Americans, Asians, Mexicans, and Arabs. The United Nations has even noticed this and seventeen countries voiced their viewpoint on America and racism at a UN meeting.

Do you think that white people in America are finally being held accountable for racial and cultural insensitivity that dates back to colonization?

As someone who grew up with a mother who worked in the mental health field, I developed a conciousness of the word 'crazy'. My mom started off as a nurse working with war veterans then began working in administration at a mental hospital. She would always chastise my sisters and I for throwing arond the word 'crazy' becase she had seen true mental deterioration and clinical illness. I used to be nosey and listen to her phone conversations about patients all the time and brief stories about the type of things that would go on. One man gauged his own eyeballs out with colored penciels.

Anyway, I've noticed that people are very quick and careless to throw around the word 'crazy' as a legitimate describing word for sitations that are not a matter of true craziness or mental illness. Yet simply tend to be a matter of someone being overly emotional, overly sensitive, harmlessly irrational, or simply on the defense. The person has done nothing that could put them in a straight jacket or require them to take medication to stabilize their minds. There is no legitimae act of mental derrangement that actually breaks a law or violates conduct in an irrepairable way. People are just being insensitive, mindless sheep and repeating and overused, unoriginal term instead of pausing and really getting to the heart of the matter.
