A social hierarchy exist whether one chooses to believe it or not. There are socially dominant, charismatic, and successful men/women who possess strong leadership abilities. These are alphas. There are also men/women who are socially inept, shy, insecure, awkward, posses zero leadership ability, and are generally unsuccessful. There are betas. In my opinion... Anyone who deny’s the existence of this social hierarchy, we’ll they are deliberately choosing to dig their head in the sand in an attempt to be politically correct- or they simply don’t socialize at all with the outside world. Agree or disagree?

There is this girl that is 27 and I am 25. Also, she is Korean and I am caucasian. We both work in healthcare. For several months she will text me at random times asking how I am doing. These are here initiations of conversation. I recently went to New York and she texted me how I was doing there and how coronavirus was there. Three days ago, I texted her how she was doing and before I could get a follow up four word text out of my phone she responded. I have asked her about her dating life several months ago and she responded that she did not want to date anyone because of her religion. And when I ask to hang out, she has other things to do. I know she is extremely shy and socially awkward, she has told me this. Furthermore, I doubt she has ever dated any guy before, which is fine with me as I have not dated a lot of girls. It just seems like I get a lot of mixed signals from her, considering she initiates the majority of conversations. I would initiate more but because of the mixed signals I get discouraged and I am not going to act desperate. Furthermore, I am not willing to limit myself to a person that may/may not want to date me and if a girl comes along, I will not concern myself with her.
