I've never used that as a criterion. Its always been about the person, but it did have an effect on my last relationship (the place was boring).

So I've been with my partner for just about 2 years and 3-4 months, I love her with all my heart and I try to give her the best time I can when I'm with her, we live together and were very close. However recently, she has been saying she's bored with me when most off the day we work and when we get home it's often 10-11pm at night so we can't really do much together. On top off this, my partner is still in college so I don't see her those days until quite late as she works after college. She calls me boring, says she's not happy (in general), she says she doesn't like me and doesn't want to be with me but when I follow up on this she says it's a joke, it really hurts that she says this. I have tried a lot to make things better as I really do care about her. I know I'm not exactly the perfect partner and I am stupid with certain things, she is also a very angry person and struggles with anger management issues, the problem here comes in with the fact that I have social anxiety and when she gets funny I can't focus on what I do and this annoys her. Does it seem like my relationship is coming to an end? I have tried to talk to her but I just think my relationship is ending
