Search Results: crushes on other girls while in a relationship

I have never had a first love, but I can only predict what it would be like during the relationship of and after the breakup of a first love.

It goes like this:
You meet your first love. You two hit it off and you two get serious. You never had some guy/girl love you so it is new, intense, and exciting. You become optimistic of what your love can be like and start idealizing the future with him/her and how you can keep your relationship alive. You are filled with a giddiness feeling so intense you never felt such a euphoria. You feel everything is perfect and you cannot imagine not ever being with him/her. You feel like you found the right one. Every romantic gesture fills you with butterflies and overwhelming intense feelings.

Then you have your first breakup. It crushes you so much you don't know how to deal with it. You were so optimistic and feel like you were caught off guard. You never felt heartbreak before. You knew what it was and knew it could happen, but you didn't fathom what it was like until it happened. You feel as if a part of you is missing.

It takes you a while to be able to share your heart again but some other guy comes around. Subconsciously and unintentionally, you tend to compare your next love to your first. It just does not feel the same. Some things your new love does will remind you of your first and will give you giddiness. You compare every guy at that point to your first.

You learn to love again, but a small part of you has a small burning flame for your first. You never love someone again to the same intensity and extent as you loved your first. A small part of you is always guarded and prepared for the worst.

Am I right on this?
