We've been together for over 3 years. We started living together last August. I'm a very affectionate person. He is not. I mean, he'll try but it's not genuine. We had a really bad argument Friday. It all started with him not mentioning he has a girlfriend on social media. We started to argue about that then he springs it on me that I'm very affectionate with him. It makes him feel like he has to be affectionate back and that's not who he is. This hurt my feelings really bad. I'm not smothering him or suffocating him at all. So I told him that I'll just be cold and not give him anymore affection. Then he got mad saying that he's changing me if I did that. Then he said "see this is why I haven't proposed to you... Because we argue." I begin to cry because I wanted to get married to him... He was the one for me. He never plans anything for us (it always has been me), he never talks about apartment hunting, he never plans the dates, and he never says anything about our future. The next day he puts me all over social media saying I'm his girlfriend. Then he buys me flowers, writes a love note saying he's sorry and he apologizes. He's now saying he wants to apartment hunt and what not. I've been hurt this whole time and I'm afraid to even hug him... It just doesn't feel the same. Will it survive?

I have been working in the same store as this guy for almost nine months now. We've gotten really close. We don't even work in the same department, but I helped train him on the register and then he went to work in the back of the store on a register back their while I work in the front. But because I was like the only person he knew, he started talking to me. And I would talk to him. We would kinda just find each other for breaks every now and then at first, but now it's progressed to the point where I go back and hang out with him during my breaks every single day. And then on his he'll either take his with me, or if we can't he'll kinda walk back and forth around the registers and tell me to "stop slacking" as he passes by. Sometimes he stops and offers to get me a refill on my drink.

Whenever I go to leave from my break or whatever, he insists on giving me a hug, and even the other day I didn't work and he went up front to look for me. That said, he's engaged to another girl. She doesn't work with us though. Only a couple weeks ago he said that he might be ending it with her because he caught her cheating. I was the first and only person he told this too. We tell each other everything. Only lately he's also been asking for my opinion on things, but those specific things are scenarios like "If you and I were dating..." stuff. And I don't know if that means anything or not. The first time I kinda tossed it out the window, but now he asks almost several questions like that a day.

And he's always trying to help me out. He constantly tries to feed me, and he'll help me reach things. Once I was cold and I was like "IT'S SO COLD!" and he offered me his sweater. The other day I was upset but REALLY sick, and he gave me a hug anyway and said it didn't matter if he got sick if it made me feel better. He even gave me a ride home from work once when I didn't have one.

I feel like all the signs are pointing to yes that he does like me, but he's ENGAGED?
