First I just want to say I know what I did was wrong, I wasn’t thinking.

Literally on my first date with my now boyfriend of a year I told a few lies.
I told him that I achieved a top ranking result at school (not far from the truth).
I had a half brother.
And that I grew up in a town I didn’t.

I think I was scared on our first date. He was mister perfect and I wasn’t. I really didn’t think our relationship would become serious.

Anyway he he has held onto these ‘stories’ particularly my results at school and I feel like I can’t take them back now. Yesterday he told me that the reason why he is attracted to me is because I’m smart. I feel like a fraud.

Should I confess? Or is there something else I can do. I don’t want to loose him over this.

My ex boyfriend says; he loves me, I’m his best friend, I’ve been so wonderful to him but yet he’s confused/ needs space and wants to break up.! We never really fought at all, we are in our late 40’s and live in separate homes. He even told me he was planning on giving me a promise ring this Christmas which was less then 2 months away , then several days after he breaks up with me. He says there is no other woman too! I’m more confused then he probably is, but I can’t make him stay with me! I am so incredibly sad and hurt! I never would have seen this coming because of our great relationship and amazing things he has said to me!! It’s been a couple weeks and I stopped contact with him. Although, he texted me twice with questions about a password and how someone in my family was doing after surgery. I answered the question and no contact again! I cry every day because I don’t know what happened and we were so great together! We were intimate a lot, we helped each other out and had lots of laughs, almost perfect! What am I not seeing here? I just say over and over, “I cannot believe he did this”!!

I've been in a committed relationship for more than a year now. My boyfriend is not objectively the perfect match for me but we love each other and we communicate so well that everything works for us. We plan to get married in a few years. A few weeks ago I was flying alone and my plane got delayed and I met a guy, I could tell that he got a crush on me during those hours and so did I. It is the first time in my relationship. I know crushes happen even in good relationships and I don't want to change anything in life, I want to be with my boyfriend. But this guy has a birthday soon and he never contacted me again now that he knows I have a boyfriend. But he had written me a few whatsapp messages at the airport. Should I just wish him a happy birthday or not? And if not, why?
