My girlfriend sure did change the way I dress... in the way that's option 3 on the poll.

So before, basically, I used to be a bit too prude and conservative. I wouldn't ever wear shorts even if it was 100 degrees out and I was gonna spend a lot of time outside, I wouldn't take my shirt off at the beach, etc.

And be aware, this is in Orlando, fuckin', Florida... the literal Sunshine State. Even in the summer!

And my girlfriend didn't say anything the first couple of times, but one day she said, "Sweetie, I know that a more modest style is more-so your thing, and I totally respect you for it... but I imagine that long pants and a shirt on at the beach when in a Florida summer is just so damn uncomfortable! I certainly could never do it. I don't like to force you to do anything, but please try wearing shorts, or taking your shirt off at the beach at least once, and see if you like it. There's nothing wrong with showing your legs or taking your shirt off at the appropriate setting."

And so I did just as she said... and boy, I've never felt better!


Actually dressing cool for when it was hot out and we were gonna spend a lot of time out just felt so free and relaxing! And sorry if this is too much information, but it felt nice to actually hug my girlfriend in her bikini, and actually feel her skin against mine, rather than just feeling her on my shirt. And rubbing my bare knees against hers feels nice, too.

I still retained my more modest long sleeve and long pants style, for most of the time... but when we're actually gonna spend time outside, it's only shorts from now on! And at the beach, shirts are a no-go for me! Much more comfortable!

felt like getting this off my chest

ok so in case i haven't said this already i started working at the Apple store a couple of weeks ago replacing iPhone batteries. today was a pretty slow as we didn't get many iphones all morning so my coworkers decided to chit chat out of boredom, I didn't took part in it because i was busy replacing a battery at that time. along the way they started conversing about gyms, they spoke about who when to the best gym and why.

one of the female workers who works at the floor came in and joined the conversation and along the way she starts talking about how she can never life weights while she's at her gym. the guys asked why and her responds was...

"because a lot the members at my gym are Spanish guys that are do nothing but hit on every woman they see lifting there... and it grosses me out"

this obviously enraged me inside, i even looked up and scowled at her for a brief second moments after she blurted that out. either way not that i have anything against gays and lesbians and definitely not saying that no woman has the right to feel uncomfortable at the gym but i'm pretty sure that the fact she's a lesbian might play a role in this. not only does she looks, dresses and behave like a lesbian but i think i overheard her say this herself once.

anyways was this racist? do i have the right to feel offended?

PS= I admit that the vast majority of us Spanish guys can be very thirsty at time so at the same time i can understand why any woman would think of us this way.
