My boyfriend's in special ops and always goes on these missions. This one has been the longest since we started dating - 4 months. I know that all these thoughts and doubts filling my head might all go away when he comes home in April. But these past few weeks I've just felt so disconnected. It's not the first mission since we started dating, so I don't know why I'm feeling like this all of a sudden. I mean, sure, I always miss him, but I've never had these negative thoughts all those other times he was gone. It could be because he apparently told my dad about going to business school at oxford or stanford or one of those other rich people schools in a year or so, but he hasn't talked to me about it yet. All he talks about with me is getting married after I graduate college. But I know that's not the only thing bothering me. It's also him going away all the time and always having to pick up where we leave off instead of just continuously going out - in person. On top of all that, I've become infatuated with someone I see every week, ever since I had this bicycle accident last week and he was really caring and protective. I can't stop thinking about this guy... My best friend says if I'm going to break up with my boyfriend it's better to do it over email if I have to, rather than wait till he comes back in April. But he just sent me a valentines gift, and then emailed me these sweet words, and... it just feels like bad timing. But if I don't break it off I feel like I'm going to cheat on him with this other guy. I already can't stop thinking about kissing him the next time we're alone... My boyfriend is a good guy. I know that all girls are going to say is that I'm a slut and should break up with him now, so I'm not even going to bother asking them. I need guys' opinions on this. My best friend (guy) says I should break up with my boyfriend now through email. What do you think I should do? Here are the options I could think of, whether moral or immoral:

I want to tell my boyfriend I love him but am too terrified to do it face to face. For Valentine’s he gifted me a sketchbook which he signed with both of our nicknames and put a couple drawings into, saying this would a be a little project we collab on, passing it to one another and filling it together, and making some drawings together too. I was thinking when I pass it to him next time I see him I could put a little note into it saying I love him but was too scared to tell him irl. But I don’t know if u should. Opinions?

Me and my ex (of 2 years) broke up recently

I still have some things he had given me:
- a huge teddy bear he given me for valentines day last year
- a huge pikachu toy and bracelet he had given me for my birthday

I still have them in my room

Should I throw them out?
