As a person of a different religion or non religious can or will you be friends with a person like me, who is a fundamental Christian and 100% wholehardly believes the Bible is God's inspired word. But is really nice and cool to people regradless of their etchincity, gender and sexual orientation. I don't bug people with My religion if they tell me they don't want to hear it. I oppose premarital sex, homosexuality, strip clubs, getting drunk, using drugs and believe Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved from hell. In other words I believe all who reject Jesus as Lord and savior will go to hell.

Others who want you to adopt a particular belief or endorse a certain group or behavior often use bizarre arguments to try to persuade you to their view. A recent post suggested that we should all accept homosexuality because the Asker had a heart filled with love and she knew it was the right thing to do. When I questioned her why others should be motivated to accept her view, she responded by calling me a few names instead of answering my question. How dare I raise such a question? I must have a heart filled with hate!

Now, a new myTake suggests that homosexuality should be accepted because it is "natural." Why do people assume that if something is "natural," it must be good? Based on that reasoning, you want lead in your drinking water because lead is a naturally occurring element. You also want mercury in your seafood because mercury is another naturally occurring element. Socrates, of course, was required to accept hemlock and approve of it since hemlock grows in nature. The same "natural so it must be good" argument can be made for cyanide, belladonna, asbestos, radioactivity, and many other toxic substances.

One of the arguments of modern liberals is that homosexuality is natural because it occurs in animal world, thus it's normal.
OK, by the same logic cannibalism is natural too, because it occurs in animal world. Cannibals of the world, let's organize a cannibal parade to defend our rights!

I support homosexuality, but I respect the views that some Muslims have of homosexuals - as long as they don't condemn them, nor support the violence by ISIS and other militant Islamic groups against gays and lesbians.
