As much as I may disagree with some people refusing to stand to the US pledge, I would never go as far as assaulting people for exercising their free speech and expression, even if it comes off as an ungrateful. I think it's stupid and a waste of time and energy for people to be pissing and moaning about others who "hate" the US for not standing up to the pledge. It's not worth giving them the attention if it really bothers you this much.

I love how a bunch of extreme far right wingers in the US get easily triggered over a very few refusal of a pledge and then love to pull the "move to the middle east to see if you feel any freedom there" card on people who shares a different perspective to them that involves questioning when we're lawfully required to stand for the pledge. I also find it funny how a lot of US military veterans pull the "I fought for your freedom" card regarding this issue, as if they have complete legal power and authority over US citizens and the country on how they should express ourselves.

Newsflash, as great as the US is as a country, it still isn't the only country with freedoms. Plenty of other countries like Canada and many European countries about the same amount of freedoms as the US does (although with obviously some different laws) yet you never hear from any of these countries trying to force their blind jingoism down on the world's throats while pissing off many other countries. It's no wonder Americans are hated in many parts of the world.
