So, this girl told me that she was just in a super serious relationship with a dude that lasted 2 years, but they broke up and now she's single. She told me that she is avoiding relationships currently because of this. So, my idea is to become really good friends and when she opens up again to dating. She'll like go out with me first because we're comfortable with each other. For some information, she told me I wasn't boring and I can make her laugh.

Hello, I am 17 and in college for electrical engineering. So, in my trig class, I recently got a girls number last Wensday. I got excited and was very surprised. After texting her for a while, I figured out that she is single and recently got out of a really serious relationship. She just told me today that she is currently avoiding relationship and we're just friends. She told me she gave me her number because she thought I wasn't boring and I can make her laugh. I thought about keep texting her because when she opens up and starts dating again, she already has a guy to date who has known her for however long she wants to avoid relationships. Do you think my idea would work or no, I'll still be in the friendzone?

I seem to have pretty terrible luck with woman. The first woman I ever dated, was pretty sweet, but after 6 months she broke it off because she was mormon and I wasn't.
It was over a year later, I started dating someone new, and it didn't make it a month because she lived with her ex and she started doing drugs.
I got back together with the Mormon girl for over a year and we had come to terms of our differences but we loved each other, we had plans to marry, but she broke us up after she went in a mission, and married someone else 8 months later.
The next girl I went out with, I knew in highschool, and we talked a lot and we really liked each other and it didn't make it past the first date. She wasn't over her ex, and I tried to wait and help her get over it, but she constantly treated me like crap for almost two months and I have up and stopped talking to her and blocked her.
It was 6 months later I tried going out of my comfort zone, and asked a waitress out and we went out a few times, but she was a pothead and thought I was a boring person.
I recently went out with my college crush, and the date went great until the bill came, and I didn't have my ID turned and wasn't allowed to pay for her drinks. She then walked out, and it was a lame situation.

I'm just so depressed with how this is going. I can't seem to make a relationship last or find someone good. I don't know what else to do or what I'm doing wrong.
