I fell really hard for this girl. She dropped a few hints she was interested in me the first month we hung out, but I didn't really show interest back (I was being stupid). I was also caught off guard because I went to high school with this beautiful girl and we just talked a bit in class. I was surprised that as soon as we got to college she was initiating to hang out almost everyday. It also made sense though, because we were familiar with each other on a new big college campus. Anyway, she kind of stopped dropping hints a month later but we still hung out 3-5 times a week. At this point I really fell hard for her and got kind of attached. I wanted to tell her how I felt, but I'll admit I was scared. After 2 months of seeing each other 15-20 hours a week I lost contact with her for about a month because we both got very busy. Then after that month of not seeing each other we got dinner (initiated by me), caught up, and I helped her with homework until 3 am the next week. I was going to get dinner again the next day with intentions of asking her out. It was eating me up inside that I never said anything after 3 months of liking her. Well I found out she was in a relationship before texting her to get dinner that day. Now I think I have no choice but to regret not saying anything and learn the hard way. I was torn when I found out, and decided I was just going to stop thinking about her, which I was doing pretty well. After just a week of finding out she had a boyfriend I felt I was moving on pretty well. But then she text me asking to get dinner out of the blue. I accepted, and we got dinner and I helped her with her homework after. When I left I felt torn again. It's hard seeing her, and this whole thing is tearing me up. If anyone else has experienced this, is it better to just distance myself slowly? I don't think it would be a good idea telling her how I feel at this point. Would I be able to get over my feelings and stay friends, or hold my feelings and stay friends?

Long story short, me and this girl went to high school for 4 years and we just talked in class a bit. Then we went to the same university and live right next to each other. The first couple months we stuck by each other a lot as we adjusted and met people. The past month we sort of parted and don't see each other often because we met lots of other people and we're busy. That's all good and of course it's going to happen, but here is the problem. I fell for her in those first 2 months where I saw her 3-5 times a week, and I never said a thing or showed any affection. Even worse, she was dropping some hints that first month that I hardly acknowledged because I was being a bit timid. Eventually she just stopped dropping the hints. Well I need to put my mind at rest and tell her, whether I get rejected or not. I saw for the first time in a month just last week (I asked her to get dinner with me). We just talked and caught up, and walking her out the words were on the tip of my tongue, but I decided that it didn't feel right in that moment and I was forcing it. I thought, if I see her again in the next week I'll say something. Well a week later (tonight) I am helping her study for her math exam tomorrow. Would it be appropriate to tell her after I help her study, just casually or should I wait for another time. I don't want her to think I offered to help her in math just so I could tell her I like her or something.

By the way I am 18 not 28!!

We went to high school together, and just talked in class. But then we started hanging out a lot because we both go to the same college now. The first month she basically initiated everything. She dropped some hints she liked me, and a couple were pretty obvious. I was timid and didn't really show interest back, and I wasn't sure if it was just her personality. Well I started to get attached and fall for her, and she kind of stopped dropping hints, but we still hung out as friends 15-20 hours a week for the second month. Last I saw her was about 4 weeks ago, she wanted to get coffee and then she invited me to go watch netlfix in her room. I ended up spending the night there and slept on the couch. I left the next day and decided I was going to open up to her when we got dinner later. She brought her roomate so I didn't, figured I could tell her in a few days when I saw her again. Except I haven't seen her since that night, and I asked her to go to the gym and get dinner a few times in the past 4 weeks but she has been busy everytime. And she parties a lot on the weekend now. I am kicking myself for not telling this girl how I feel, and I totally missed my chances. I can't even think of a time I showed obvious interest in her. I try and forget about her but she is the first thing I think about in the morning. What should I do in this situation, where I wish I told a girl I like her? by the way I am 18 not 28!!!

That whole week she was very forward in hanging out, inititating about everything. This was a little over 2 months ago when we first moved in. Those first few weeks she was dropping a few hints, but I thought it was just her personality. She's really outgoing, in a soriority, etc. Well, I noticed she stopped dropping hints, but we still hung out 3-5 times a week. Last time I hung out with her I was watching netflix in her room all night, initiated by her. That was 2 weeks ago, and it's the first time I haven't seen her for 2 weeks. I was trying not to get attached to her because she didn't seem like the kind of girl wanting to date in college, but now I feel like she was trying to drop hints and I didn't make a move. I messed up and missed my chances. So I want to meet up with her again for dinner or something, and figure this out cause its driving me crazy. I plan on asking her this.

"Did you ever think of us being more than friend when we started hanging out?"

Of course that's not all I'll say, but that'll be my first question and I want to see how she reacts.
