I’m 23 and still a virgin. I’ve never had a boyfriend but this guy I am referring to wants to be exclusive and seems to want the long-term relationship that can lead to marriage and such. He told me he isn’t rushing me to have sex, however anytime we are intimate, he puts out the that this is hard for him and told he isn’t willing to wait for marriage. He believes that the guy and girl should have sex to confirm there is an intimate connection to determine if he is in love with them over time or just to maintain the relationship.
Neither of us are religious but he seems to like me enough to take off work every weekend to see me and has treated me well. We laugh and have fun in most every aspect. I am scared to lose my virginity to him, any guy in general. My reasons are that he may leave me and I left with that regret. He says that isn’t going to happen. Is he messing with me?

I am seeing this guy and we are exclusive, according to him. He’s been in relationships and is no longer a virgin (evidently). I am 23 and still am. He told me he’d prefer to have sex with someone before falling in love with them to confirm there is an intimate connection. We have done a few things but not full blown sex. However, he mentions that this is “my gift” and I should not feel in a rush to give it up. He says we have a great emotional connection and he has fun with me physically, but the sexual concern on both sides (his drive/experience and my concerns) are a hurdle. However, he says he still wants something long term with me.

I am also afraid that he will end up leaving me after I give it up. I told him this too. I always had this fear of giving it up and the guy walking out. He doesn’t seem that type, he’s treated me good. And says he intends to be with me for the long haul. Is there an issue or is it in my head?
The only issue would be waiting until marriage and I don’t plan to wait that long😳

We’ve been speaking for about a month. We’ve gone on 3 dates. Been texting every day. I saw him this weekend and we spent a night at a resort. He said we were exclusive (boyfriend and girlfriend). We texted yesterday but not as much as we used to and he said we were okay. Today, we texted a bit and I asked him if he wanted to talk on the phone since I left work at 5. He said yes, he was planning to and was planning to end work early today anyway. I haven’t contacted him since and he has texted me both mornings. He is a truck driver and he told me if he wasn’t interested in me he would tell me and not ghost me. Even though he sent the last text message, I feel he is no longer interested and I’m kind of disappointed.
