I met a guy sometime in 2010 and last year we finally decided to date. It was supposed to be for fun only but I started liking him for the person he was. He was attentive, treated me kindly, always there when I needed him the most, took me on wonderful dates and we always went away for the weekend. Normally I have a thing about over nights with an friends with benefits but for him I threw out all reason. It was supposed to be short lived and it was, we only dated for 2 months before we decided to be friends. Which I was fine with because I realized that I was starting to have feelings for him. It turned out he would text me telling me how much he missed our weekends together, how great he thought I was, how he couldn't stop thinking about me, how he had to see me etc. This went on for 8 months. In all honesty I was afraid to see him because I didn't trust myself around him. I hadn't felt this way about someone in over 7 years. We finally decided that we would meet up in more ways than one and we had a blast. He didn't want to go to work the next morning but I prodded him to go. He took me home and kissed me good morning. I was supposed to move away for my job and we were making plans on how he would see me every week. I thought for sure he must care about me if he was willing to drive 300 miles every weekend to see me. I couldn't stop thinking about him so I send him a message two weeks after we hooked up to tell him how I felt to which he replied that he only wanted to be friends and that we couldn't be together because I was black and he was white. What? I was so hurt I just said OK and hung up the phone. He called me since and I didn't know what to say, so I said nothing about it. He kept asking me out, telling me how much he was thinking of me, making me more angry. Eventually I told him I started dating someone and it looked like it was getting serious, so I couldn't see him because he didn't care about me. He said fine. A month ago he told me he had a girlfriend and I let him know how pissed off I was about (unfortunately I still had feelings for him even though I would never date him again) He started yelling about why should I be the only one who should be able to do date and he can't bla bla bla bla bla. I know I don't want to date him anymore but I don't want to be friends with anyone who would refuse to go further with me because of my skin color. I have been thinking about sending him an email to state how I feel about the skin color issue and why and tell him I don't consider anyone who can be so jerky to me a friend. I want to be taciturn but assertive, hopefully making him feel like a big pile of #2 in the process. A part of me says he doesn't deserve my time and effort an email requires but another part of me says I have to say what I feel to get closure. So my question is Do you think I should send him a final email outlining everything I found offensive about what he said and telling him I never want to see him or hear from him again or don't bother
