So I have this thing with guys and baseball caps, or "fitteds" as we call them here in my city. I love a guy in a a backwards fitted. For me it can make a world of difference in attractiveness. But it can also be problematic because... hats can't be worn 24/7 lol.

I went to a party a few days ago. I was wearing a black crop tank top, high-waisted black jeans, an opened squared red and black shirt, and black combat boots and belt.

I'm into this older guy, with whom I got a chance to talk to right before the party (which he didn't attend). At one point during the conversation, I mentioned how I was going to be a volunteer to help any overly-drunk or sexually-assaulted person and how volunteers would be wearing a purple accessory. His reaction is what doesn't really make sense to me.

He said something along the lines of: "well, the purple thing and the..." He pointed at my crop top, slightly blushed, and shook his head.

I asked for him to continue what he was about to say, to which he said "nah, ponder over it." He was fidgety, obviously nervous and wouldn't tell me what it was that he wanted to say. "I'll tell you over a beer one day," was another of his ways to try to take my mind off the main subject. I kept smiling at him and pressed a little for him to tell me.

Somehow, I won this one and he finally finished the sentence: "you might need one of those volunteers yourself– I don't know." He was slightly embarrassed, I think, or nervous. I just don't understand whether he meant it as a "you look really good" or as a "you look way too trashy and you'll be getting unwanted attention".
