I'm in college. Last week, someone from my class texted me and said that he hoped I had a good weekend. He has my number because we (along with a few others) are in a group for a project together. I responded and said thank you and that I hoped he did too. Later that day, he texted me again and said that he hoped I had a good day. Ever since then, we've been texting. Not super often, like hours will pass sometimes between texts (his part and mine) and it's a really casual conversation.

It was really out-of-the-blue because I didn't think he had any sort of interest in me. He sits next to me in class so we usually make small talk before class starts. And he always asks me to be in his group when we do work. But besides that, there's been no flirting or anything on either of our parts.

I'm really confused. Does he like me or something? Or is he just really friendly and I'm overthinking it? I had one boyfriend for 4 years and I've honestly forgotten how dating works again.

And if he does like me, what am I supposed to do? He's pretty attractive, but I don't know if I'm attracted to him. He's REALLY nice, but I don't know if I could see a potential serious relationship with him. I kinda want to make out with him but not date him. I don't know how I feel about him and I don't want to lead him on or anything.

What do you think he wants? Is this just friendly or does he want something more? What am I supposed to do?

Meh I feel so confused and I feel like I don't want it to be awkward between us because we still have so many weeks of the semester :P please help.

My bf and I dated for a year and he was diagnosed with depression about 3 months into the relationship and went to therapy since then. We broke up over it first because he felt he couldn't be in a relationship, but we got back together and stayed together. Even though the depression fluctuated, sometimes making him distant, we had an amazing relationship. We were each others first everything, were best friends, understood each other more than anyone. We were so in love. He made me so incredibly happy. He broke up with me a few days ago because he's been in a rut for a few weeks & said he had been overthinking things like crazy. He said he was unable to be in a relationship & didn't love me. This was so out of NOWHERE. He even admitted that he couldn't think of a single problem with us, he just wasn't happy with anything. He said he cares about me more than anything & still sees me in his future, he's just so confused. I talked to his friend today (im close with his friends and they loved us together and didn't see this coming) & he said he told him that I'm his best friend, he misses me & there's no one else. But he can't be with anyone. He said he wants me in his life no matter what. But he won't see me right now because he said he knows if he does he'll want to get back together. But he told his friend he wants to try again when he's happy again. his friend said he isn't happier without me, he's just under less stress. He said I should give him space to sort out his depression & that he thinks this whole thing is his delression all hitting him at once and he broke up with me to see if it would help his depression... I broke down over that bc I've done nothing but put my entire self into making him feel loved and supported & helping him in anyway. & he'd always tell me I helped more than anything and made him forget about the shit going on in his brain. I can't even explain how much I love him and he truly is the sweetest person in the world, this isn't him

So I met this guy on Tinder ( I know, not the best place to find love...) but we talked a lot etc Clearly to me he wasn't the douchebag type and so on. He asked for my snapchat which I gave him. The number of snaps really depended of the day. Sometimes it was just a few or nothing but on other days we could send each other at least 20 pics. He proposed to go running with me or studying or watch a movie etc. but we couldn't because we had our exams first. It also became our habit to send each other some 'sexier' pics but it never went overboard (by this I mean fully naked or lingerie or showing boobs and similar things) because I wouldn't have been able to deal with that. I had the feeling we got closer. When we both left on a different skitrip he was so sweet in his messages before the departure and clearly let me know he wanted us to stay in touch. That's the feeling he always gave me: the desire to meet me in real life. We got home and he basically asked me out but he said at the same time that it couldn"t work out because he couldn't be there on time. After comparing our schedules, we saw we had both a lot of time free on Thursday and Friday . So I thought that he would ask me out again but he didn't. I started talking to him on snapchat on Sunday again and he invited me over to his house because his parents aren't there. And we had basically arranged eveything except the date and the time. When I said him to keep me updated, he didn't answer. After two days I asked him, because of practical reasons, if I could still come over to watch that movie. He opened my message on snapchat but didn't answer it. It's been a day now and I don't know what to do. I don't believe he just forgot to answer... Should I forget him? I know he's just a guy I met on Tinder, but it's been already 2 months we're talking and sending each other pics and I got attached to him. Or should I just ask him why he didn't answer and tell him if he's not interested anymore that it's okay?

Okay, so this guy at my school and I have this sort of flirtationship going on. He's in at least one of my classes every day of the week. During classes he...

- Somehow we always seem to sit right next to each other. One time he even put his chair in between mine & another guys despite the fact that there wasn’t all that much room & he could have sat on a different side of the table.
- We also bump feet/legs a lot under the table. Neither of us apologize about it (if I hit someone w/my foot I usually do apologize. Everyone I know usually apologizes to me too if they hit my foot).
- We are always either making fun of each other, being sarcastic with on another or bonding over something we both really like. Sometimes he'll even compliment me on things like my scarves (which I make myself) & my sweater/shirt.
- He told me about this place that he volunteers at and after I expressed my interest in it, he told me that if I wanted to, I could tag along with him.

Today in class we were kind of having a flirty banter (to me, I thought I was just joking around with him in a friendly way) and I said something to him and then a mutual friend of ours (a guy) said "Why don't you guys just date already?" He said this in front of my teacher and another student (our classes consist of like 4 people). While I stated that I didn't like him like that, he stated that he was not interested in dating at the time. This is not the first time that an incident like this has happened. A friend of mine (guy) once overheard me and this guy talking about the volunteer thing he invited me to and he told me he would text me when it got closer to the event so I didn’t forget. My guy friend then asked if we were going on a date. We both said no, and somewhat awkwardly moved on from the subject.

Do you think he might like me? Also, do you think there was a reason he didn't just outright say that he wasn't into me? I'm a natural flirt so I never really know when I'm flirting sometimes.
