I'm a single guy who is introverted and shy. I don't like being alone, but I just happen to have bad people skills so making friends is hard for me. Consequently, this causes me to feel lonely.

My parents and brothers live in North Carolina. Currently, I am working in Atlanta, GA which is 9 hours away from my family. I have been working here for 8 months, and have not made any friends here the whole time.

Now, my employer wants me to move to Dallas, TX which is currently 13 hours from where I live now. This will put me at 21 hours away from my family in North Carolina.

I won't be able to see my loved ones unless I buy plane tickets, because I can't drive 21 hours to see them. This will raise the cost of living because I won't be able to not see my family ever. And, with no one to keep me company, I fear that my mental health will worsen.

I have asked if I will be getting a salary raise for making the move down there, but I haven't gotten a confirmation for this yet.

Considering my condition, the fact that I have bad people skills, I will not likely make any friends in this new place either, possible detriment to my mental health, and this nation's economy, is it worth making a move? How much of percentage increase in pay would you demand if you were in my situation?

Also, consider the alternative to moving. They haven't told me what would happen if I refused to move, but worst-case scenario is that I get fired. I have been looking for work elsewhere, but I currently don't have any jobs lined up for me, so if the let me go then I will become jobless.

I currently have bills that I have to pay, so I can't really afford to go jobless right now, but I don't know what will happen to me if I move to Dallas, Texas. I am genuinely concerned that I might suffer psychological damage that will never be repaired, due to what kind of person that I am.

Other people might be able to handle this situation, but I'm not them. I'm me.

I'm not going to say that it's guaranteed that moving to Texas will be all bad for me. But, I don't know what the future holds. I can only try to predict what is likely to happen based on past experiences.

Would anyone else be willing to make this move if they were like me, and in my position?

I know I know, this has been asked for years but I'm interested to know what all generations think about this. When you were a kid did you think it would eventually be legalized? Do you think it should be legalized? What are your thoughts on this age old question...

Heres my opinion: should it be legalized, sure for personal use. Here is my reason why. We could cut back on the MILLIONS and MILLIONS of $'s used to raid marijuana grow houses or the war on marijuana in general. We could tax it and it could go towards our debt (hahahhahaha yeah right, damn government is too greedy for that). It helps relieve stress in MANY situations.

Maybe ask yourself this...would you rather be in a stadium full of drunks or people that were stoned? why?

So anyways as you can see I'm for it, I think it should be regulated and controls, NOT over priced, but taxed. California made millions in taxes off of medicinal marijuana, multiply that by 50 and put that towards our debt...

Anyways I know I didn't give too much of my opinion, I'm more curious to see others opinions on this.

Please lets not get into huge arguments here, debates would be nice, I'm just looking for personal opinions, please lets respects everyones thoughts here and not attack someones beliefs...i am however looking for why you think it should or shouldn't be...no reason really just thought this may be interesting to see what America AND other countries feel on this...hey maybe it is legal where you live and if it is does it affect your nation as a whole? are there any downfalls to it being legal?
