So I'm turning 22 tomorrow, and I'm considering getting a cartilage piercing on my right ear. Nothing crazy. Just a simple stud. I already have two piercings on my ear lobe that I always keep studs in so I feel like this would be a nice addition. However, I'm currently in grad school and I want to be a school counselor. If I get my cartilage pierced, is it going to be considered unprofessional by future employers?

i got my first lobe piercings done about 12 years ago when i was little. i would like to get my second lobes done on both ears and possibly even a cartilage done on my right ear because my best friend has one and she said i should match her which doesn't seem that bad of an idea actually. i waited this long because i was a chicken about it since i kinda have this lame fear of needles

when i thought about it, i remember hearing multiple people say and reading so many things that cartilage piercings are very trashy and make girls (around my age; 20) look like a hooker, slut, whorebag, etc. does it? does it make a girl have a lesser chance getting a job, relationship, etc because she has 2 lobes and a cartilage piercing?

also, please leave your opinion on what you think of it because it's making me second guess this...

by the way, i don't dress trashy ever. i'm pretty casual with the way i dress. usually a pair of jeans and some kind of shirt, fancy or not, with a pair of vans, converse, etc is what i most commonly wear

no i wouldn't have a heart earring as a cartilage. it's just a reference for the appearance of piercings, not what my earrings would look like (i'd probably go for studs instead of hoops/rings)

I've had my earlobes pierced since I was about 3 or 4 years old and I got my cartilage (ear) pierced twice but both times it was rejected. I've been thinking about drawing up 2 small tattoo designs that will be representative of some really extreme points in my life that define me. I'd get 1 of them on my rib or inner bicep and the other one will be somewhere equally as discrete.

This poll won't sway my eventual decision in the slightest, I'm just curious about people's thoughts on the topic. Feel free to leave your thoughts and reasons in the comments.
