White Pill = Yes, things suck, just as the Red Pill guy said. But I'm certain that this one other thing here I've discovered may be the antidote. At the very least, it will solve *some* of the problem. Why no one else sees how easy this would be is beyond me.

Black Pill = The Red guy is right. Things suck. But I don't see a way out of it, other than waiting for the end. #Doomer.

Honk Pill = "Everything is upside down everything is backwards. When I was younger, I never watched the news and neither did my parents. My parents did their best to protect my sister and I from all of that. As a result, when I was older and started watching the news, it made me massively anxious and constantly put me in a state of fear. I remember one particular news story "Deadly Halloween candy." It turned out to be "Deadly" to people allergic to peanuts, because the label didn't explicitly say "Peanuts." But, knowing that would attract a smaller crowd, the tagline was simply "Deadly Halloween candy."

Nowadays, the news seems to have gotten worse and far more aggressive. When I tune into CNN, I'm tuning into it for the news. When I tune into NBC, I'm tuning into it for the shows but I end up being bombarded by taglines and previews of what's coming up later that night. Even the previews are often graphic, depicting real life violence.

Aside from that, the news has a long history of presenting studies in a misleading way and invading people's space in order to get a good story. But what bothers me even more is the graphic violence- depictions of real world events- the news decides to show viewers. It steadfastly refuses to refrain from naming mass shooters. It constantly displays footage of horrible, violent events happening in real time.

I don't want to see Trump shut down the media, but it's hard to have much sympathy for organizations that have consistently manipulated and sensationalized stories for views and money. If NBC news, ABC news, CBS news, Fox news failed, I'm not sure America wouldn't be better off for it. And Trump wouldn't get nearly so much free publicity.

CNN recently attacked it's ad-revenue competitor YouTube (a content aggregator that hosts 1 billion hours of viewership per day) through highlighting the way that ads can be featured through it's algorithm on extremist content. Of the extremist content, they list pro-nazi/north korean propaganda, pro-pedophilia content, & 'conspiracy theorists', all at the same time.

I don't know about you, but in a post Gulf Of Tonkin America, I don't necessarily demonize anyone with a conspiracy theory on the basis of those who propagate 'lizard people' & 'gay frogs'. More importantly, they attacked anti-war progressive youtuber Jimmy Dore, a comedian who hosts a comedy show that mocks & ridicules the mainstream media.

Dore was listed among the likes of Alex Jones for merely stating the same level of skepticism that Rand Paul had done only shortly beforehand on CNN itself of claims that Assad's regime in Syria was directly involved in chemical attacks on civilians.

Fake news are said to be rampant in social medias. There are however major news organisations that said to be fake news like CNN. In my previous question, majority in the poll said fake news is problematic. So should CNN, Facebook and other sites be regulated, and if indeed is fake news. Should they be fined or imposed other penalties?

Or put a cap on money sponsoring the fake news as proposed in an anti fake news election law in France?
