For a while people were wirrued about touching anything and anyone near them bc there was so Much mystery surrounding everything. Eventually the myths were gradually struck down, people calmed down and Releasing their vigilant mental grip against A I D S now having a better idea what they were dealing with. You can’t get it from spot or washing hands it touching un lacerated skin. Etc

Well we are in a similar situation - romantically- with covid 19 though its more Challenging in ways bc we have to deal with air droplets skin context and saliva exchange. ~~~ Forget about sex!!~~try making out without any of those ingredients 😎

Now maybe for very young people IF they grow up having to test blood before scoring first base, it will seem normal. But for people who grew up walking into a bar and leaving With a hook up, kissing a date a sweet good night as an indication you are happy with the way things are progressing and would like to continue getting acquainted—This huge potential shift in what “ cautious” means will be very disorienting

About a year ago, I started dating this guy who was smart, cute, successful, and incredibly kind. I mean, really, the whole package! He was also VERY respectful, and we didn't really get to hot and heavy until about the 9th date.

High quality men in their mid thirties are normally off the market, so of COURSE there had to be something. I kept dating him for a few weeks trying to figure out if I could deal with it, but I just couldn't. What if I got it and then we ended up breaking up? It's hard enough dating without having to worry about telling people THAT.
Could you date someone you know has herpes when you don't? What would be the exception?

I was unfortunate enough to be cheated on recently by my husband. He had sex repeatedly with a woman who was having a cold sore outbreak. He thought cold sores were just sores from having a cold. His affair managed to infect me with the cold sore virus on my privates, and it was VERY unpleasant.

In my research, I have learned that around 60-80% of people in the world (and in the United States) have the cold sore virus even if they do not know it. 20% of people have the better known genital herpes virus, and almost 50% will have that strain by the time they are 50 years old. It's one of the top causes of virus related blindness in the U. S. Most people catch it while they are still babies and sticking everything in their mouths and sharing toys and food.

With so many people infected, I find it strange that I am only hearing all of this after being infected. How can something so common be such a secret? How many people suffer with on or more of these issues? Honestly, I'm very scared. I know I'm not the only one. Please, share information and your personal experiences so people like me can better understand.
