I'm very light skinned and really insecure about it. I wish I had a bit of a darker skin tone, but tanning isn't healthy and self tanners are a hassle and loaded with chemistry, so I just have to live with it.

Obviously though tanned skin is considered ideal. My boyfriend especially is from Italy, where most people have a bit of darker skin. And I sometimes wonder if he would prefer that?
In general do you think it can be attractive

i dyed my hair dark brown (I used to dye it blonde). I have naturally pale skin and dark blonde/light brown hair color. so that the dark brown doesn't wash me out, I use self tanner religiously. it is not orange at all trust me. no one even tells I wear self tanner. its very subtle and I just look a little sunkissed. I also have dark prominent eyebrows that go well with my brown hair color. I get compliments on my hair all the time and people say don't go back to blonde! people say I should model and I get random people and guys saying I'm gorgeous. when I meet new people and tell them I used to be blond they are always quite surprised and say they can't picture me blonde.

GUYS: if you found out it was all fake, would it be a turnoff?

i really want my natural color and natural skin tone...but it will take 4 years to grow my hair out and I'm not even sure its worth it.
