I feel like it's okay to have friends of the opposite sex but it seems weird when it comes to new friends. Let's say your with someone and they meet someone of the opposite sex(not at work but like at a bar or hangout) and befriends them. I noticed when I would read stories or hear about someone's experience with being cheated on, it's usually a new friend that they meet not someone that they grew up with, a mutual friend or a family friend. The person slowly eases into the relationship and ends up with your guy/girl. In my view on this, if your married then I don't really understand being friends/best friends with someone new because you probably already have old/mutual friends to talk to and get advice from.

Should children be spanked? I was spanked. I hit kids. I thought hitting was ok. Spanking really did not work. It just made me afraid. I still did not behave well. This is just my experience. I never spank my child, and he hardly misbehaves. He is 4. I am so happy to have a very well behaved boy. I usually talk to him about bad behavior, and how it is bad. I have taken away some toys, and taken away tv time. That rarely happens. We are not allowed to hit our spouses, even if they lie or cheat. If we do it is seen as wrong. The thing is that adults know better. Kids do not. So why should we be allowed to punish children like that. Making a child cry, and say owwww is mean. Of you want them to stop hitting then hitting them kind of contradicts that.
What is your view. Please do not use that line from the bible. There is scientific proof spanking does not work, and causes depresion, and anxiety.
