I have a friend that I've known for about two months now. He lives super close by but we met through social media and one of my friends has been friends with him since they were 5. He wants to hang out and says that "he's dying to hang out" or that "he can't wait to see me in person and hug me". The thing is I was okay with it since he seemed extremely decent and well collected, but I he just told me about his past and I'm kind of scared of him now. He seems so sweet, kind, and lovable from the first time we talked. Plus, he told me about a month ago that he likes me A LOT, but I said I don't like him like that and just wanna stay friends. He said that he respects my decision, but ever since then, he's been saying "maybe one day we can try us" or "hopefully one day things will be more than just friends between us" and he always says he doesn't wanna lose me from his life. I, on the other hand, ONLY like him as a friend, made it extremely clear. His past is full of robberies, home invasions, stealing cars, money, jewelry, and he was involved with some people who kidnapped someone and tortured them. He said that he didn't do it, he was just there telling them to stop. He said that he could never imagine to hurt anyone. Said that he changed a long time ago. Tbh I'm scared of him now. I'm really small and can be overpowered very easily, I'm scared he might do something when we do hangout. He's always talking about how he wished he could cuddle me and kiss me until I get annoyed, and stuff like that doesn't interest me since I literally only think of him as a friend. What if he hurts me? What if he sexually assaults me? He wasn't able to stop his crazy friends then, what if something happens and he isn't able to stop them now? I don't know if he's still friends with the same people or not, but still. What do you guys think I should do? Hangout with him or no?

I'm looking at daggers on Amazon and I'm really thinking of buying two. I know how to use them and how to actually fight with them (though I'm a beginner) but I've never owned any personally. I really really want them because I just think they're so cool but I also know physically I'm very weak and the only defense I really have is what little knowledge I have of swords, daggers, and staves. And I can't really walk around with a sword or a staff. I'd never use them on anyone unless I had to defend myself though. The ones I want are only like $10 a piece. Cheap, I know, but they're for self defense and collecting only, not for mass stabbings or anything.

Also, there's other things than what I listed like kunai knives, axes, spears, scythes, etc.
