Okay so there’s this guy I met (who’s friends with my friend) and he’s chill, funny and he got my number and we’ve texting/snapchatting. He’s made it clear that he’s into me and thinks I’m attractive.
My friend thought he had a girlfriend but he told me he didn’t and I believed him thinking maybe they broke up and he hasn’t talked about it. Turns out he does have a girlfriend and that he lied about not having one: and he says “she argues too much” and that it’s “complicated love”.
Im not really mad I just don’t trust him anymore and I’m obviously not going to keep talking to him unless it’s strictly as friends but I was so confused as to what led him to lie about that.

He and I had feelings for each other but he was in a complicated relationship. We never dated but he admitted he can see us together but had turned me down. This was about 10 months ago. I got to know that He came out of his relationship about 2-3 months ago. He doesn’t know that I’m aware he is single. He shows interest but hasn’t asked me out directly. Mentions about event I’d like. He tries to know what’s up in my life and gets jealous if our common single male work friends talk to me. Can someone help me understand him please and thank you!
